Sabra's full sister - Skyview Stargazer - was very successful in the show ring, earning 2 Championships! Sabra did not get the chance to equal her sister's show record, but Champions run in this family - Let Sabre produce a couple for you! This lovely black female has been a key producer for Green Vale Alpacas. She has excellent conformation, a good bite and a nice head. Sabra is the kind of alpaca we all like to see grazing in our fields, a good mom - and she has the ability to produce BOTH show ring winners and luxurious fiber. She looks just like her Champion full sister. Her fiber is uniformly crimpy with a wonderfully soft, fine hand. It shines with blue highlights, and even at her age, Sabra has almost no light fibers in her fleece, which is very uncommon for older black alpacas. Owners Hidden Pasture Alpacas of NJ on Sabra's FULL SISTER, Skyeview Stargazer: "How many ways can you say 'WOW!'? Stargazer is a true black beauty that did exceptionally well during her show career. Stargazer is one of our treasures. We fell in love with her at an alpaca show and just couldn't get her off our mind. We eventually purchased her and had a great time in the show ring for the next season. The word to describe Stargazer is stylish. She is a classic huacaya alpaca with a white quality fleece in midnight black. She is sired by Skyeview's Samson, a medium silver grey Bueno line herdsire, and is out of a beige Peruvian import that consistently produced winning offspring. Stargazer's fleece is lovely, with a very soft handle and excellent fineness. She still has a micron of 21.1 at the age of 4 years with a total shear weight of 7.7 pounds in 2008. She is conformationally very correct with a level topline, staight legs, and an elegant stylish huacaya head. $35,000." http://hiddenpasturesalpacas.com/index.php?option=com_adsmanager&page=show_ad&adid=99&catid=17&Itemid=2 At only $1,500, Sabra may be the best bargain you will find in a true BLACK female! Her price is so low only because she is no longer a youngster, but she is vigorously healthy and should produce several wonderful crias for you.

Don't miss your chance to own one of ONLY about a dozen MachuPichu crias in the US. Contact us for details! - female Looking for lasting fineness in grey? Check out MachuPichu's histograms - at 2 years, FIVE years, and SIX years of age!!! How often do you see alpacas of ANY color with fiber stats like this - much less grey?! We are happy to email you copies of Machu Pichu's 2010 and 2011 histograms. At six years of age, MachuPichu's fleece is maintaining brightness, high curvature/crimp, and a degree of DENSITY not often seen with fleece this fine. Plus he is maintaining an exceptional staple length! And Machu Pichu is gorgeous and oh, so typey. Not to mention 'presence'; he KNOWS he is special. The genetic potential of this handsome grey male fascinates us. MachuPichu is a huacaya from two suris, with a soft, bright, but distinctly crimpy huacaya fleece. A number of top huacayas, including 6 TIME Champion Lazy's Phoenix, 9 TIME Champion AL Pacas Simba, and Kelly Zanella's Spa Alpaca's Mazet (2nd at the Futurity!), have suri heritage. Some breeders seek out huacayas from suris for their breeding programs. Here is your chance to breed to an especially good one - in gorgeous grey!

Description

Ava is a beautiful black alpaca with a strong pedigree. She looks so much like her handsome sire. Ava delivered her first cria in 2009, and has proven to be a good producer and an excellent mother. Ava's fleece has a soft bold crimp style and is very 'bright' with an exceptionally soft handle - especially for a BLACK. UPDATE: Her super-nice SILVER GREY male is now a Blue Ribbon winner! Dense, long staple, FINE, and with a high frequency crimp! He's 'spotless', too. And GORGEOUs! His sire, MachuPichu has been SOLD to Canada! This outstanding grey male leaves behind about a dozen offspring in the US. Don't miss the chance to own one. *Choose the sire of Ava's next cria! Fleece: Alpacas with true 'blue BLACK' fleeces - with NO fibers of other colors in the fleece and that do not fade - are RARE. A black with fiber this nice is a real find! A combination of fineness, uniformity of micron, and smooth low scale fibers without corase guard hairs all adds up to a fleece on this girl that has a luxurious feel. How often do you find that in BLACK?! Pedigree: Her sire, MA Peruvian Tomba, is likely the best son of the legendary "El Negro" - PPPeruvian Inca - the first true BLACK male imported from the Alianza. Inca was given the highest possible rating in the '95 Peruvian importion. Tomba's dam, 4Peruvian Black Satin, came to the US in 1996 at 1 1/2 years of age with a micron count of 21.2. She was also a true BLACK. Ava's dam is from Skyeview Alpacas. Jim & Sue King have been successfully breeding and showing alpacas since 1992. According to the importation records, Ava's maternal granddam, CPeruvian Alexis 2212 IMPF98, came from the Antacalla herd of the Rural Alianza co-op. The Rural Alianza has long bred their alpacas to a standard of fineness to meet the requirements of the textile industry in Peru. At the time of importation her fiber test results were: AFD-21.2 SD-4.3 CoV-20.3 %>30-4.1 Ava is a good choice for anyone who wants to breed high quality fiber in color - especially in rich, true BLACK or GREY.
