We are proud to announce that MachuPichu has arrived at Kickin' Back Alpaca Ranch and is ready to go to work. He's gorgeous. His conformation is totally correct. His coverage is abundant. He has a typey head, and proud presence. And... CHECK OUT HIS FIBER STATS! This level of fineness, along with density, exceptional staple length, brightness, and high frequency (6-7 crimps per inch) distinct crimp - all important characteristics of an elite fleece - and rarely found all together. Especially rare in a grey male now SIX years old! Plus, his blanket is 'spotless'! MachuPichu's fiber has a soft sheen and feels silky against the skin. That's what raising alpacas is all about. To date Machu has sired three crias on our farm, 2 bay black males and 1 brown female. Machu's stud fee is $500.00 please contact us about discounts for multiple breedings.

Green Vale Ava

AOA# 30526693DOB: 6/29/200618 yrs
Ava is a beautiful black alpaca with a strong pedigree. She looks so much like her handsome sire. Ava delivered her first cria in 2009, and has proven to be a good producer and an excellent mother. Ava's fleece has a soft bold crimp style and is very 'bright' with an exceptionally soft handle - especially for a BLACK. UPDATE: Her super-nice SILVER GREY male is now a Blue Ribbon winner! Dense, long staple, FINE, and with a high frequency crimp! He's 'spotless', too. And GORGEOUs! His sire, MachuPichu has been SOLD to Canada! This outstanding grey male leaves behind about a dozen offspring in the US. Don't miss the chance to own one. *Choose the sire of Ava's next cria! Fleece: Alpacas with true 'blue BLACK' fleeces - with NO fibers of other colors in the fleece and that do not fade - are RARE. A black with fiber this nice is a real find! A combination of fineness, uniformity of micron, and smooth low scale fibers without corase guard hairs all adds up to a fleece on this girl that has a luxurious feel. How often do you find that in BLACK?! Pedigree: Her sire, MA Peruvian Tomba, is likely the best son of the legendary "El Negro" - PPPeruvian Inca - the first true BLACK male imported from the Alianza. Inca was given the highest possible rating in the '95 Peruvian importion. Tomba's dam, 4Peruvian Black Satin, came to the US in 1996 at 1 1/2 years of age with a micron count of 21.2. She was also a true BLACK. Ava's dam is from Skyeview Alpacas. Jim & Sue King have been successfully breeding and showing alpacas since 1992. According to the importation records, Ava's maternal granddam, CPeruvian Alexis 2212 IMPF98, came from the Antacalla herd of the Rural Alianza co-op. The Rural Alianza has long bred their alpacas to a standard of fineness to meet the requirements of the textile industry in Peru. At the time of importation her fiber test results were: AFD-21.2 SD-4.3 CoV-20.3 %>30-4.1 Ava is a good choice for anyone who wants to breed high quality fiber in color - especially in rich, true BLACK or GREY.

Description

Stunning silver stud! Seventh Wonder was first and second his first, and only, two times shown - against some serious competition! As a two year old, he has filled out, and his fiber is better than ever! ELITE fiber in SILVER - long staples, bundles of high frequency crimp - and so very fine! Absolutely correct conformation, stylish type. loads of face and leg fiber, beautiful proportions - and that proud presence that will not let you look away. This male is everything we have been striving for over the past 10 years! 'Win photos' from the shows coming soon - in the meantime, enjoy his baby photos. Even then, his quality was unmistakable. Seventh Wonder is a rare true silver grey - with absolutely NO fawn, brown, or redish fibers anywhere on him- just SILVER. We plan to show his fleece, and then will send a sample out for testing, but if you are interested, we can sneak a sample out of his fleece and send it to the lab for you. Sire - MachuPichu was exported to Canada, leaving only about ten offspring in the USA. Click on his link for more information on this fabulous grey herdsire - and check out his histograms>/b>! Silver Wonder has inherited his sire's beauty, and his fineness - and is even more uniform in micron. Dam - Green Vale Ava has proven her worth by producing Seventh Wonder - but that is not all she has going for her! Follow the link above to her page for more info on this lovely black female. We absolutely love this male and everything about him. Sadly, with everything else going on in our lives at this time, we just cannot get this male promoted and shown like he deserves.
