Ava is a beautiful black alpaca with a strong pedigree. She looks so much like her handsome sire. Ava delivered her first cria in 2009, and has proven to be a good producer and an excellent mother. Ava's fleece has a soft bold crimp style and is very 'bright' with an exceptionally soft handle - especially for a BLACK. UPDATE: Her super-nice SILVER GREY male is now a Blue Ribbon winner! Dense, long staple, FINE, and with a high frequency crimp! He's 'spotless', too. And GORGEOUs! His sire, MachuPichu has been SOLD to Canada! This outstanding grey male leaves behind about a dozen offspring in the US. Don't miss the chance to own one. *Choose the sire of Ava's next cria! Fleece: Alpacas with true 'blue BLACK' fleeces - with NO fibers of other colors in the fleece and that do not fade - are RARE. A black with fiber this nice is a real find! A combination of fineness, uniformity of micron, and smooth low scale fibers without corase guard hairs all adds up to a fleece on this girl that has a luxurious feel. How often do you find that in BLACK?! Pedigree: Her sire, MA Peruvian Tomba, is likely the best son of the legendary "El Negro" - PPPeruvian Inca - the first true BLACK male imported from the Alianza. Inca was given the highest possible rating in the '95 Peruvian importion. Tomba's dam, 4Peruvian Black Satin, came to the US in 1996 at 1 1/2 years of age with a micron count of 21.2. She was also a true BLACK. Ava's dam is from Skyeview Alpacas. Jim & Sue King have been successfully breeding and showing alpacas since 1992. According to the importation records, Ava's maternal granddam, CPeruvian Alexis 2212 IMPF98, came from the Antacalla herd of the Rural Alianza co-op. The Rural Alianza has long bred their alpacas to a standard of fineness to meet the requirements of the textile industry in Peru. At the time of importation her fiber test results were: AFD-21.2 SD-4.3 CoV-20.3 %>30-4.1 Ava is a good choice for anyone who wants to breed high quality fiber in color - especially in rich, true BLACK or GREY.

Description

Here at Green Vale, we have quite a few beautiful black alpacas - and Beau is one of our favorites. We have held onto him as a junior herdsire - but will consider selling him to the right home. If we can retain several breedings to him, the price will be very reasonable! Beau is a good-looking young male. But it is his fleece that is really exciting: fine, bright, with very pretty crimp and soooo soft. *Beau's registration is pending - his sire's pedigree is posted here for your reference. Please click on the link to his dam's page to see her pedigree and photos. Sire - Maple Brook Black Magic - Successful in the show ring and as a sire. Black Magic's pedigree is 100% black-baed: every alpaca in his pedigree is either black, or silver grey (black with the tuxedo grey pattern 'overlay'). His sire is the famous black male Brittany's Desparado. Brittany's Desparado is the product of the Stachowski breeding program of Dr. Anthony Stachowski, DVM in Ohio. Maple Brook Black Magic's dam is 100% from the bloodlines of the highly successful Alpacas de la Patagonia - of Washington and Chile. Dam - Ava
