SOLD - Congratulations to Kim Kline of Havenfield Farm in Birdsboro, PA. Words fail to describe the many attributes of this male, and we're thrilled that he has a chance to work on the East Coast. The judges agree with our assessment of his potential with 3 times 1st Place and Reserve Champion, 1st Place at 2005 GWAS, 2nd Place at AAA Futurity, and 2nd Place at 2005 AOBA Nationals. He is a stunning boy with an amazing temperament. Now with over 35 cria on the ground it is clear that After Hours is delivering in the breeding barn. We can safely say (as safe as genetic predictions can be) that After Hours is consistently producing cookie cutter replica's of himself. From deep black & grey color pedigrees he has produced black or grey in 11 of the 12 black & grey dams bred to him. Females that bring other colors both in phenotype & genotype he tends to let the dam's color come through. He has produced gorgeous maroons & fawns with excellent fleece character and high frequency crimp. One thing for sure. His kids have his boxy true-to-type huacaya frame, substantial bone & stunning head all covered in crimpy, dense, bundled fleece. His offspring that have been shown have represented their owners well. The latest is our own Bellatrix taking 1st in both conformation and fleece at the 2009 AROW Composite show & snagging the Color Championship in a combined class of Blacks & Browns and Reserve Championship at 2010 PNAA out of 25 blacks. Dam: Peaceful Valley Grace

Champion Producing Foundation Dam

Peaceful Valley Grace

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 830051DOB: 6/22/200123 yrs
Grace is in a class of her own. This is the female that defined our breeding program. Her offspring are always the top of our show string. She is a spectacular true black female with solid bone, excellent balanced conformation, and a stunning classic head. Shiny black, broad crimp, and wonderful handle define her fleece, a tribute to the Accoyo line. Grandsires Ppperuvian Yupanqui, and Guellermo provide the solid foundation. Her dam is Peaceful Valley Celina, a ½ Accoyo true black out of a Maroon dam. Her sire, Michelangelo, is a phenomenal black male who passes on his conformation, fleece quality, incredible presence. Grace displays elegance in presence, movement, and attitude that are rare. Grace's 2003 cria, Steele Magnolia, sired by Aussie Rockford is a gorgeous medium grey female who gathered many blues, a reserve color champion and Color Champion at the level V AWE as a yearling. Grace's 2004 cria, Stonyridge Capella is also sired by Rockford, and followed her big sister's footsteps earning blues in the show ring. Grace delivered a true black female, Carina, in Sept. '05 sired by Patagonia's Compadre, a typey male with excellent conformation presence, and dense, crimpy true black fleece. Carina also earned her share of the limelight in her juvenile show year, and was sold as a weanling. Her repeat breeding to Aussie Rockford produced a stunning silver male, Perseus, in '06 who won two blues in fleece spin-offs. Grace produced a true black male in '07 from her breeding to Peruvian Black Epic, and her '08 After Hours cria is a lovely true black female. Given her successful Rockford kids, her '09 Rockford daughter, Arista is a happy addition. Grace & her kids possess an elusive slick hand to their fleeces that spinners absolutely love. Grace produced a striking mahogany male in '10 from her Vermeer (light fawn) breeding. Given the awesome '08 cria, Bellatrix, from her pairing with After Hours, we have bred her back to him for her 2011 cria. Can anyone say repeat performance?

Service Sire: Neversummer's American Iron

Aussie .38 Special Son

Neversummer's American Iron

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 31890007DOB: 6/29/201014 yrs
It's Official ...... "NeverSummer's American Iron" ..... bringing Aussie .38 Special bloodlines back to Stonyridge for the 2015 breeding season! .38 Special has been sold to East Coast breeders, so when the opportunity to host this quality son came along, we jumped. Thank you to owners Dale Davis of Derwydd Alpacas, and Dee Souza of La Dee Da Alpacas for trusting us with your boy. This is his third summer here, and his first crop of cria for us hit the ground last year. They are stunning! Get your reservation early, so you don't miss out on this limited opportunity. American Iron will arrive Mid June and be here through October 2015. Yes, he has the requisite successful run in the show ring, but more importantly this male has the power in his pedigree that tips the scales in his favor for reproducing his awesome phenotype, and desirable conformation and fleece characteristics. 3 year histogram = 22.3/ 4.4/ 19.6 with a spin fineness of 21.7. Iron is full brother to the high-selling alpaca at the 2011 Futurity Auction! "NeverSummer's Chautauqua" Iron's pedigree is packed: Hemingway, Victor, Royal Fawn, 5Peruvian Royal Incan Legend, Lanark's Silver Charm, Peruvian Aladdin ....... and let's not forget Hannaruh. Experienced breeders know the value in stacking a pedigree with proven and repeatable genetics, and American Iron brings that to the breeding pen. He is exactly the type of male to compliment any quality grey breeding program. Such a stunning young male - super heavy bone, outstanding presence, macho head ("Best Head" award winner at the 2011 International Alpaca Odyssey!) and a calm disposition. Get into his silky, fine, bright, LONG fiber and it melts away to the touch. Its one of those fleeces that just gets better with age. Iron is sired by the incomparable grey herdsire, Aussie .38 Special. As he ages, .38 Special just keeps getting better. He is a two-time Judges' Choice winner, including Judges' Choice Fleece at the 2010 AOBA Nationals (4th fleece!).

Description

Congratulations to Sue & Bob Evon and Brenda & Ron Berg of Alpacas of NH on the purchase of Bellatrix and her awesome daughter, American Chrome. Bellatrix is the fourth awesome daughter of our foundation dam, Grace. Grace has produced the best on our farm, with four true blacks and three silver greys. Her kids are consistently in the front row in the show ring, with many firsts, and color championships to their credit. Bellatrix has a big job ahead of her to keep up with her older siblings. Her sire, Xanadu After Hours, has been quietly producing some awesome kids the last couple of years, and because we've sold all the girls that we've bred to him, we've had to watch his kids grow up in other breeders fields. Grace made us proud yet again, and Bellatrix is her '08 contribution to our cria crop. Because of the consistent quality of Grace's kids, we've named them all after stars or constellations, and Bellatrix follows suit. She is a stylish young female with the signature compact frame, and stunning head that is typical of After Hours kids. Her fleece is exceedingly bright, and crimpy with a buttery handle consistent with Grace's kids. The fleeces from this dam line are some of the first to be snapped up by hand spinners. This girl was a standout in the show ring. Judge Amy Bliss Miller placed her first in conformation at the Alpaca Affaire Composite show, saying that she was happy to see this girl's fleece score come in at the top of the class as well, cementing her first place finish in the class of combined blacks and browns. She went on to grab the color Championship as well. She just got better with maturity placing 2nd and Reserve Color Champion at Alpaca Showcase under Australian black huacaya breeder, Peter Kennedy. She is now firmly settled in our foundation girl lineup, and produced an awesome silver grey male out of her breeding to Bisturi. Bella produced a stunning silver grey male out of her breeding to Lanark's Silver Charm for 2012. Her 2014 contribution is a beautiful silver grey female, American Chrome.
