Dam: Westwool's Kapina
30656017<--ari-->White<--color-->Kapina is one amazing alpaca. Her fiber is so dense, you can barely part it for shots! She has a beautiful head, a typey build and soft fiber. She is a full Peruvian huge ball of wonderful fiber. Kapina comes from the best genetics. Her dam is Peruvian Kappa, a full Alianza import. Her sire is Accoyo's Juliaca, a full Accoyo import. The quality of her breeding shows in her fiber, her stature and her conformation. She has proven she can pass these wonderful characteristics on too. Her cria from last summer, Peruvian Penny, has the most awesome fleece. It is dense with bundles and bundles of fawn crimp from topknot to toes. Her cria from last summer, Avenger's Peruvian Arminius, is an incredibly bright crimpy fleeced boy.
Kappy is a wonderful, attentive mom with plenty of milk. She is an easy breeder and is in excellent health.
To see the quality of what Kapina can produce, visit her 2006 cria, Peruvian Penelope. Penny's fleece has taken the Judge's Choice Award, 2 Championships and 7 blue ribbons! Also check out her 2007 son, Accoya Arminus. Both of Kapina's progeny here at our farm have gorgeous, elite fleece! Now we have another outstanding Kapina cria to brag about - Kaptain. Kapina was bred to Accoyo Invasion for her 2008 cria. Kaptain took a 3rd at the World Fleece Show in 2009 in juvenile white, perhaps tha most difficult class at the most competitive fleece show and was beat by only two Magical Farm alpacas with a score of 92%! Kaptain also earned 4 championships, 3 blue ribbons, and the best crimp award (out of 87 fleeces!) Judge Amanda VanderBorsch wrote this about Kappy's fleece, "Excellent structure and consistency"
Kapina delivered a black girl in 2016. You should see this girl's fleece!! She is bred to Canterbury's champion dark fawn boy, Accoyo Avery for her 2017 cria.<--description-->

Description
Penny simply has awesome fiber. It is incredibly bright, crimpy, soft and dense - some of the best fiber we've had born here on our farm. We were especially excited with her color, a beautiful fawn, since both her dam and sire are white. Penny is one quarter Accoyo and three quarters Alianza. Her maternal grandsire is 4Peruvian Accoyo's Juliaca, an import to Westwool's Alpacas, perhaps the most respected alpaca farm in all of Canada. Because of his Canadian location, Juliaca's genetics are rare here in the U.S. Penny's sire, WRA Peruvian Nekuta, is a Hemingway grandson. Yet another reason for Penny's elite fleece.
Penny's fleece continues to show her fine breeding - most recently with a color champion banner at the Este's Park Fleece Show 2008, a reserve color champion banner at Alpaca Fest West and Judge's Choice at MOPACA 2008! She now has eight blue ribbons!
Penny had her first cria in the summer 2008, a gorgeous girl out of our beige full Accoyo 8X champion, Invasion. You can only imagine the fiber on this little girl, Sarah. It's spectacular! Sarah was sold before she was even weaned. Penny has proven herself to be an excellent mom - very attentive with plenty of milk. She also is one of those easy-to-get-bred girls. Her second cria, Bo Jangles, a fawn, is equally as nice. Bo was also sold before he was weaned and now is a color champion himself. Her 2010 cria, Shilling, has simply knock-out crimpy, bright fleece. Also sold as a weanling, Shilling has been shown by his new owners and done well in the showring!
We've been so impressed with our Grey Matter cria that we bred Penny to him this year. We are crossing our fingers for grey, but any color cria should have fantastic fleece because the genetics for elite fleece are so strong on both sides of the pedigree.
