Red Granites Aragon

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 35123040DOB: 8/20/20168 yrs
Red Granites Aragon is one of the finest highest curve fawn fleeced stud males in our breeding program. He has routinely stayed in a the limits of the Royal Alpaca fleece stats, even as a breeding male with crias on ground. He is our main goal as a huacaya breeder, lasting fineness with density. His line lineage is quite unique with a Fawn Sire: CCNF Legionnaire, a son of Snowmass Matrix Majesty who is now deceased. His Dam is one of our finest .38 Special daughters, Crescent Moon's Anna Lucia, who has produced multiple Futurity & National Champions in an array of dark-colors. Aragon is by far her best son produced thus far. Red Granites Aragon is a striking medium fawn, award-winning male. He has a very beautiful fleece. Aragon carries an extremely soft fine, yet very dense fleece, with amazing brightness to add on. He carries a full fleece body of high-frequency low amplitude fleece with small individual little bundles throughout, and is very consistent throughout the body. He has carried a Grade 0 fleece since is first shearing, which is amazing considering he is now a 5 year old breeding male. We took Aragon to a few shows but didn't return until he was of mature age due to his extreme qualities. Aragon blossomed a little late into his show career. He wasn't on our showing list until fall of 2017 but never returned on our list till TXOLAN in 2018 where he was awarded a 2nd place and Reserve Color Champion. After that point, he was winning anything above 3rd places. At the National Western Stock Show in 2020 at 3 years of age, he was awarded the 2020 Grand Champion male, as a 3-year-old!! We then brought Aragon to the 2020 AOA National Show and he did not disappoint us! As a 42.8-month-old male, he came home with the Fawn AOA National Color Champion win. He has produced colors in all colors, championships winners and top show placers. Fiber and Fleece Description Carries a great high curve 5 years remained to have a high curve 66.6, and high frequency of crimps Excellent brightness and extreme consistency of fiber character over the entire blanket Bright, Fine, Uniform crimp structuring throughout FINENESS GRADE 0 at ages 1, 2, and 3 years old FINENESS GRADE 0 CURRENT age 5 years

Red Granites At A Girl

HuacayaBred (Female)Bay Black
AOA# 35168768DOB: 7/23/20159 yrs
Red Granites At A Girl is a bay black Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose daughter, and is a maternal-sister to Presidio's Pirouette (multi-champion black foundation female, two of her offspring are at EP Cambridge HQ), one can only expect this stellar female to be more than good. We all know that MR Sizlin Rose is one of the "go-to" herdsires in the United States when breeding black huacayas, as his offspring dominant the black show rings in fleece, halter, and walking fleece taking home champion banners and even judges' choice awards. At A Girl may not have rung it up in the show ring like her paternal siblings, but she sure has the qualities!

Estates Passionate Fever

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 35602668DOB: 6/14/20186 yrs
Color Genotype: ee a2a2. When Fever is bred to EE aa females he will produce Bay Black/True Black! Estates Passionate Fever is a respectable fourteen-time champion and three-time Judges’ Choice winning, light fawn son sired by Snowmass Pure Passion and by Estates El Galan's Yellow Fever. Snowmass Pure Passion represents over 30 years of passionate breeding for the perfect-colored fleece on the most beautiful-bodied alpacas. Snowmass Alpacas said, “Snowmass Pure Passion is the most magnificent Light Fawn Matrix son Snowmass Alpacas has ever produced.” Fever's maternal grandsire is Patagonia’s El Galan, a magnificent four-time champion winning herdsire out of Patagonia’s Cayo. His maternal great grandsire R&R Oliver Twist has consistently produced outstanding offspring in Canada and the U.S., that exhibit fine, uniform fleeces, along with crimp and correct, solid conformation. Passionate Fever has a fleece that is feverishly dense and uniform. In 2019, Passionate Fever was evaluated as an A+ by senior AOA Judge Amanda VandenBosch. "He has excellent substance of bone, balance to frame, fiber coverage, good organization within staple, maintains consistency across fleece, moves to the extremities to neck, good density relative to fineness." Jill Marcellus said, "He’s a very refined looking male, He’s moderately sized, right in the middle there, & that can be very useful in a breeding program. He’s got good balance & proportion, excellent substance of bone, & a very typey male with a good strong phenotype. I really like his head style as well. His fleece is very fine & exceptionally uniform in all the fleece traits. I pulled samples from all over the place on him & really there is virtually no difference from mid-side to right into the front shoulder area to over to the hip. That also carried through with the staple type and also the expression of character through the fleece. It’s very uniform right across his body and underneath his belly." Passionate Fever had three crias (all females) for his previous owners, two light fawns and a beige all by light fawn dams and a beige dam. Passionate Fever will no doubt be a remarkable stud male for us in both light and dark color breeding, he carries everything we want in an Elite Stud from top to bottom. He will be bred over many different colors this year (2022) to see his potency. Fever's offspring are championship winners to boot! Proudly Co-Owned with Crescent Moon Ranch and Sopris Alpacas Ranch. Times for when he switches between ranches will soon be released. Limited Outside Breedings

Description

There is very little room to fault this young brown female. Her creation was one of the easiest breeding decisions we have ever made. Red Granites Aragon, the 2020 AOA National Fawn Male Color Champion & 2021 AOA National Fawn Male Reserve Invited Champion and Red Granites At A Girl, are made for each other and the offspring has proven the point. Incredible phenotype on both sides. Almost unbelievable fineness from Aragon through himself carrying a superfine medium fawn fleece, but his superfine genetics also playing a part. Undeniable brightness, density and character from At A Girl is added to produce a female that should carry an "At A Tood" as she will be the poster child for any black and dark breeding program wanting to be the best. At A Tood could be bred for any color, so that chpice is left for you to decide. Red Granites At A Tood sells with a free maiden breeding to any Red Granite Ranch Herdsire, and sells with Red Granite Ranchs' full guarantees.
