Histogram stats at 2 years old: AFD 15.0/SD 3.6/0.3%>30/MC 62.1! And he has started his breeding career...please give us a call if you're interested, as we have a limited number of introductory breedings! Color genotype: ee Aa Okay, just wow!! He’s really nice—He won the white male Color Championship at the Carolina Alpaca Celebration in February 2022, while his half brother was the Reserve Champion under Judge Arturo Pena. We're really liking his development as he "grows into his skin!" He didn't garner quite the same accolades in his next 2 shows as he did in the first, but we know a good thing when we see it. The judges had a hard time making their placements because the entire class was just that good! We feel very good about his future and expect his second fleece to come in even better than the first, just like his multi-champion herdsire, Man in the Moon's Peruvian Ganymede, who eventually won the AOA National Supreme Championship! Cerberus is definitely strong and healthy, and he came out covered with a bright, thick and curly fleece. At 3 months old, we finally cria tipped Cerberus, and I hate that we wasted all that fleece -- his fleece is stunning and it was already several inches long! We're pretty sure he’s going to follow in the footsteps of his two older brothers and his sire, Ganymede! Take a look at Cerb's dam side, too -- she brings a lot to the table in terms of proven genetics. We are pleased to co-own this beautiful boy with Phil & Lena Galing | Lippencott Alpacas in Waynesburg, PA. We are offering a limited number of introductory breedings, so give us a call if you're interested.

Description

Also see Packages. Even though she has no ears (just kidding!)...Diamond is a gorgeous girl and she has proven to be a great dam with easy birthing, and plenty of milk. She also has a calm and gentle demeanor. At 2 years old, her fleece had a Spin Fineness of 17.0 microns, with lovely handle, brightness and uniformity just like her Judges Choice herdsire. At 6 years old, her AFD was still in the low 20's with a very good SD and CV -- excellent for her age and evidence of micron uniformity! Diamond has been bred to Man in the Moon’s Peruvian Cerberus, son of the AOA National Supreme Champion, Ganymede. Cerberus has a gorgeous fleece that is extremely fine and uniform. See his webpage. One of the many reasons we chose to breed Diamond to Cerberus is that she produced a gorgeous female offspring when bred to Cerberus’s sire, and there are a few things about Cerb’s genetics on his dam’s side that we really like. We think those genetics will be complimentary to hers. We can’t wait to see what they produce! Diamond's 2022 offspring, Lightning, was awarded the Reserve Championship at his first show, the 2023 Carolina Alpaca Parade at 8.3 months old!!! We didn't show him much before he was sold, but his fleece at one year old was looking good!! Diamond had a beautiful white female cria out of Man in the Moon's Peruvian Ganymede in Fall 2020. We named her Maia...Unfortunately, she was sold before she was shown. She now resides at Farm and Fleece in NC. See more in her profile below. Diamond's a gorgeous girl that caught my eye at the 2018 Buckeye Fall Alpaca Fest. Once we opened up her fleece, I was in love! Diamond's sire, 7SAF Thunder Valley, is a multiple champion and Judges Choice recipient. He's a true to type male with perfect conformation and head to toe covered with a bright, dynamic fleece. He has exceptional fineness and uniformity with superior staple length. At age five, he carried a 19 micron fleece, SD of 3.9 and CV of 20.7. The uniformity of crimp from skin to tip is remarkable and carries throughout front to back, side to side. NOTE for OPENHERD AUCTION: Auction reserve is set high as terms must be negotiated and a contract must be executed to complete the sale.
