Ganymede will be at AMAF in NY again this Summer! BEEN THINKING ABOUT IT, BUT VA TOO FAR TO GO? Contact us to discuss getting a breeding in VA, NY, or TX. Time is running out to purchase a breeding to Ganymede, the 2017 AOA Nat’l Supreme Champion. Color genotype: ee Aa. Can produce black! He's making Champions & Judges Choice offspring!! Extraordinary Offspring: CNTRL Ganymede's Hannah B, has 22 Championships and 4 Judges Choice awards competing as a fawn female -AND- she is the 2021/22 #5 female in the Nation!! AMAF Islamadora, has 20 Championships, including the 2024 AOA National Championship, and received her first Judges Choice award as a yearling in Fall of 2023! StrongShepherd Juno, is a 16x Champion & JC male, and CCNF (arguably the top breeding farm in the country) purchased half-interest in this incredible male to bring different genetics into their herd! "This male shows extremely strong fiber traits that should be passed to his offspring...Bred to top notch females, you should expect many champions." -- Comments from Dr. Norm Evans' biopsy report SKIN BIOPSY was performed at 30 months of age by Dr. Norm Evans in December 2017. Of note, his 15x scan shows large fiber clusters uniform in shape and placement within his connective tissue. His scan shows only 4 guard type hairs from the 6800+ fibers in his 10 MM tissue punch. His true density is 86.75 follicles per SQ MM of skin. He shows a level 2 of 4 gland structure, with an average S/P ratio of 14.1 to 1, and only 11% of his secondary fibers are medullated which is rare since the average is near 60%. His 250x scan shows the presence of many round secondary fibers, and one hundred typical secondary fibers averaged 17.8 microns — at 30 months old!! According to Dr. Evans 30 months is the recommended age for skin biopsies and gives the most accurate values. Full report available upon request. While Ganymede’s breeding fee is firm, we can offer attractive discounts on any solely owned herdsire in a multiple breeding package. We also have females available that have already been bred to Ganymede or can be purchased with a future breeding to him. Please give us a call to discuss. Ganymede is Co-Owned with Rancho Inca Alpacas located in Navasota TX

Heather's Acre White Diamond

Also see Packages. Even though she has no ears (just kidding!)...Diamond is a gorgeous girl and she has proven to be a great dam with easy birthing, and plenty of milk. She also has a calm and gentle demeanor. At 2 years old, her fleece had a Spin Fineness of 17.0 microns, with lovely handle, brightness and uniformity just like her Judges Choice herdsire. At 6 years old, her AFD was still in the low 20's with a very good SD and CV -- excellent for her age and evidence of micron uniformity! Diamond has been bred to Man in the Moon’s Peruvian Cerberus, son of the AOA National Supreme Champion, Ganymede. Cerberus has a gorgeous fleece that is extremely fine and uniform. See his webpage. One of the many reasons we chose to breed Diamond to Cerberus is that she produced a gorgeous female offspring when bred to Cerberus’s sire, and there are a few things about Cerb’s genetics on his dam’s side that we really like. We think those genetics will be complimentary to hers. We can’t wait to see what they produce! Diamond's 2022 offspring, Lightning, was awarded the Reserve Championship at his first show, the 2023 Carolina Alpaca Parade at 8.3 months old!!! We didn't show him much before he was sold, but his fleece at one year old was looking good!! Diamond had a beautiful white female cria out of Man in the Moon's Peruvian Ganymede in Fall 2020. We named her Maia...Unfortunately, she was sold before she was shown. She now resides at Farm and Fleece in NC. See more in her profile below. Diamond's a gorgeous girl that caught my eye at the 2018 Buckeye Fall Alpaca Fest. Once we opened up her fleece, I was in love! Diamond's sire, 7SAF Thunder Valley, is a multiple champion and Judges Choice recipient. He's a true to type male with perfect conformation and head to toe covered with a bright, dynamic fleece. He has exceptional fineness and uniformity with superior staple length. At age five, he carried a 19 micron fleece, SD of 3.9 and CV of 20.7. The uniformity of crimp from skin to tip is remarkable and carries throughout front to back, side to side. NOTE for OPENHERD AUCTION: Auction reserve is set high as terms must be negotiated and a contract must be executed to complete the sale. Please give us a call or send an email if you're interested in any of our Openherd auction offers. MMFA offers its best pricing on packages of three or more alpacas. Let us know what you're looking for and we can help you find the package that meets your goals within your budget.

Description

This beautiful girl is AVAILABLE again!! Please take a look at PALLOYALPACA.com. Breeding not included, but we can offer a great price on a breeding to any of our herdsires. SOLD to Farm and Fleece of Concord, NC! Congratulations to them and Palloy Alpaca! Maia is the first offspring of her dam, Diamond, and her sire is the 15X Banner winning, AOA National Supreme Champion, Man in the Moon's Peruvian Ganymede. Maia's fleece has abundant character, brightness, and fineness; and her conformation is excellent. Her frame is boxy and upright with straight legs and a great bite -- she's curious and sweet! There's no doubt that Maia will be a very fine foundation female. Maia sells with her maiden breeding to any MMFA herdsire of your choosing (take $500 off price to purchase without breeding). We'd recommend one of our Matrix Majesty line males, Man in the Moon's Rigel. Wade Gease first described his fleece as "diamond-like." He is currently a 5X Champion (with more shows to go) and he has a very bright fleece with a magnificent crimp, extreme fineness and uniformity across his blanket. Maia's sire, Man in the Moon's Peruvian Ganymede, championed at every show he attended from 10 months old on. He achieved 15 banners, including 4 Judges Choice which culminated with the 2017 AOA National Supreme Championship -- he's an amazing male, and he's producing champions! His fleece is still beautiful with excellent character, consistency and fineness as a breeding male, with uniformity across his blanket and extending down into his belly and legs. Judges repeatedly said, "...he is the SAME all over!" Maia's dam is from the well known white breeding program, Heather's Acre Alpaca Farm, and her superlative genetics run deep. Maia's dam comes from great Accoyo's such as Vengador, Pucara, Odyssey, Quechua, Accoyocusani and Aga Khan. Her sire yields the Alianza greats such as Bueno, Predictor, Royal Fawn and Zephyrus; as well as more Accoyo greatness.
