Snowmass Don Julio's Prestige

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 800325DOB: 6/22/1997
We just LOVE Prestige, she's everything we could have asked for! She's given us 3 girls in a row, but we certainly wouldn't mind a boy. She created rose grey Premier's Absolute, who is known nationally as one of the top grey males in the country and who Julie Skinner praised. He sold for $150,000 at the Futurity. Her list of Champion and Blue ribbon winning offspring is long. She produces fineness and consistency that, like her own, is maintained into maturity. This is the quality Reiling Ranch is striving to replicate across their herd and so pleased that Premier helped us take another step toward achieving our goal. Her sire is the renowned Don Julio from the first Peruvian import. He was proclaimed at his first show as the closest thing to the perfect alpaca. He put his stamp on fine offspring before leaving the US. Her dam is one of the most cherished at Cas-Cad-Nac producing a champion line for them. Prestige has a nice head with excellent depth of jaw and maintains a perfect bite at 12 years of age. She has heavy bone that she passes along to her offspring. Her fiber is extremely dense and still shows nice character. Even in her older age, she maintains a fineness comparable to most yearlings. Her offspring have all had good consistent crimp, fineness, and density. Prestige gave us another girl! Black from Snowmass Porteus. She is incredible! Took a blue in her first show! We believe that the dam contributes at least 50% of the genetics, so we try to maintain the best foundation girls we can. Next we have a stunning white male from Prestige and Porteus who we can't wait to get in the ring. He is very dense and consistent in crimp. He also has the spectacular "silky" fleece that Snowmass has pioneered. We are so excited to get a "silky" and the fact that he's a boy is a bonus because he will be a huge assest to anyone's breeding program.

We're so excited to announce that his first cria on the ground was finally old enough to show this season and has been to two shows where he won 2 first place ribbons and a Championship. It makes us feel gret because it affirmed what we were counting on Challenger to do. We'll be adding more girls to his dance card! Wow wow wow...17.0 Microns at 3 years old, Dark Brown AND breeding. If you're looking for an all around gorgeus guy, he's it! He is everything we'd hoped for. He's dense, has a luxurious handle, is wonderfully shiny and has consistent crimp style. He doesn't exhibit any guard hair(primaries)extending beyond the blanket. He's the most incredibly sweet and smart alpaca. He's just a joy to be around. Which makes the fact that he's simply stunning, really exciting! Ron picked out his dam at the Snowmass aution because she was not only an outstanding award winner in both the black halter and fleece categories, but she was bred to one of the most fabulous fawn males around. Snowmass Royal Challanger. Any of you who know Ron, also know that it's rare from him to put his foot down and insist on a dam. But he really wanted us to add Snowmass Morning Moon to our herd and I'm so glad he did! Her Avg. Micron at 4 years old was 20.4 (not bad for a black production dam). Royal Challanger's, (Snowmass Lunar Challanger's sire), crias have been winning big. His 2008 histogram at 6 yrs old is 20.9 4.4 21.1 3.4 49.4. He was the 2004 Futurity Color Champion. Royal Challanger is the son of Snowmass Royal Rose, (dad to XXXtreme and G-Dad to Porteus). But just as exciting is Royal Challanger's dam who we admired from the first moment we saw her. PPPeruvian Edelweis is a grand dam producer of many champions. Royal Challanger consistently passes on his superior phenotype and fleece attributes to his offspring: superb conformation, awesome coverage, fineness, high frequency style crimp, long staple length and beautiful brightness. Take a peak at his listing and you'll see where our guy gets his looks. :) Challenger's crias exhibit supreme shine and a silky dense handle. He throws that typy head style that we love. If you need to improve fleece coverage, head style, consistency, density, secondary to primary ratio, and fineness, while preserving color...Challenger might just be your man. His most recent son just won 1st Place at TXOLAN 2015 in the juvi brown class. This guy definitely needs more crias on the ground!!

Description

Olympia was highly anticipated and she has grown into a beautiful fine, dense, girl. Her mom is one of our best foundation females who is also mother to Premier's Absolute. Her dad is Cimarron Gold Legend who is now in Canada and has very few American offspring. Take a look at a few of his awards: 2005 GWAS Show in Denver (level V): Judge, Julio Sumar 3rd place (Class of 12) 2006 GWAS Show in Denver (level V): 1st (Halter) Judge, Amanda VandenBosch 2006 GWAS Show in Denver: Judge, Amanda VandenBosch FAWN COLOR CHAMPION in Halter (over approx. 80 top quality fawns) 2007 Alpacapalooza Show (Level IV): BLUE RIBBON (Halter), Judge: Wade Gease 2007 Alpacapalooza Show (Level IV): BLUE RIBBON (Fleece 81.5 points), Judge: Jane Tellier (No Championships offered). 2007 Alpacapalooza Show (Level IV): RESERVE FAWN COLOR CHAMPION in Halter, Judge: Wade Gease 2007 Northwest Alpaca Showcase: BLUE RIBBON, Adult Fawn Class & RESERVE FAWN COLOR CHAMPION in Halter, Judge: Peter Kennedy. 2007 Northwest Alpaca Showcase: BLUE RIBBON Fleece Judge: Babs Manion 2007 Northwest Alpaca Showcase: FAWN COLOR CHAMPION Fleece 2007 GWAS Show: 2nd Adult Fawn. (Class of 11). behind Fawn Champion With Olympia's elite genetics (most of which hail from Snowmass), we are thrilled to have her in our program. We heartily thank Premier Alpacas for selling her mother to us with this excellent breeding. She holds the genetics of elite textile production. She would be an excellent match for all our boys and we could go many directions with her. We truly believe that the dam is even more important in the cria's genetics than the sire and Olympia will be a strong contributor for many years. We are so excited about the incredible fineness that her cria from Snowmass Porteus has. Her last cria from Matrix Madness is gorgeous and took a top ribbon at TxOLAN 2015 AND was highly considered for the Reserve Championship! He did take the Reserve Championship at the Houston Livestock Show. He is one of Madness' best and his fleece stats are stellar. She is such a great mom that she even adopted an orphan cria! She is top top top in genetic quality. We are looking at Snowmass Matrix Madness again in the future based on there last success. Every cria she's had has been outstanding! If you're looking for PROVEN QUALITY, she's your girl.
