Sparticus di Bella Vita

SuriHerdsire (Male)Dark Fawn
AOA# 304277792DOB: 10/25/200519 yrs
Sparticus is a stunning male who has caused people to stop in their tracks when he walks down the aisle on a lead. I describe him as the "essence of suri". He is a prime example of our breeding philosophy, being 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Chilean and 1/4 Accoyo, and we hit the jackpot with this cross. Sparticus was born with locked, lustrous fleece from day one, good sized testicle at birth, and with a tall, stretchy look. He has excellent coverage with great density. To top it off, his locked, lustrous fleece grows back the same every year. He was 21.4 pounds at birth and grew rapidly, weighing 70+ pounds at 3 months and 150 pounds at 14 months. We was an early breeder, as was his sire. His dam also produces early maturing crias, females well over 100 pounds at 12 months of age and easily bred at 13 months. Early maturity gives our clients about a 6-month jump on return of investment, and it is prevalent in this young male's lineage. Sparticus hit his stride in the show ring in 2007, taking multiple blue ribbons, including a 1st place at the 2007 Suri Symposium fleece show, 1st place at the 2007 Futurity, 1st place at GWAS in yearling dark fawn males, 1st place in Produce of Dam with his full sister, Contessa. He has continued this winning record into 2008, culminating in 1st and Reserve Champion fleece at the AOBA National Show. We look forward to seeing what this male with obvious hybrid vigor will produce.

Dam: Evana di Bella Vita

Full Peruvian, 1/2 Acccoyo, Luster!

Evana di Bella Vita

SuriBred (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 30440005DOB: 8/21/200618 yrs
Evana is a full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo light fawn female with dense, lustrous, locked, fine fleece. Her cria micron count was an amazing 17.3. Her spun fleece has earned two 2nd place finishes in spin off competitions at 2007 Suri Symposium and 2008 GWAS. Her half brother took 1st place at both of these competitions and Judge's Choice at GWAS, but we think Evana's fleece has an even silker feel than her brother's and has beautiful luster to it. Although her fleece was a bit too lofty for the show ring, we sell it raw at $10.00/2 ounces. When the handspinners put their hands on her silky raw fleece in the bag, they forget whatever else they were contemplating buying. One spinner said her fleece was "better than sex". Evana is a big girl, taking after both parents, with good bone and lots of room to grow her crias in utero. Evana's sire is SMA Bolivar, a white male out of the darkest full Accoyo sire in the US, the late medium fawn PPeruvian Uribe. Her dam, Eternal of Peru, is by 4Peruvian Meteor, sire of Cantano, the highest selling suri at auction. Evana is not the prettiest alpaca on our ranch, but she has producted 2 extremely pretty female crias for us so far out of 2 different sires, and both are very lustrous. With her dam out of the Meteor line and sire of the Uribe line, this girl should continue produce colored crias with partial Accoyo genetics as she has for us.

Service Sire: Capitano Luciano di Bella Vita

Captain Morgan son, ribbon winner

Capitano Luciano di Bella Vita

SuriHerdsire (Male)Dark Brown
AOA# 30696150DOB: 11/10/200618 yrs
PACKAGE LUCIANO UP WITH OUR 2 REMAINING PROVEN FEMALES FOR YOUR BEST DEAL! SEE OUR SURI PACKAGE ON OPENHERD. FABULOUS PACKAGE FOR A SMALL INVESTMENT. Capitano Luciano arrived full of himself on his birthday in the late fall of 2006. He is a gorgeous rich maroon color with black points, and his fleece is locked and absolutely drips with luster. He is so lustrous it looks like he was just pulled out from the oil vat. His regrowth every year since has been impressive - still showing good individual locks and high luster. He is very well put togehter with equal proportions, straight legs, level topline and excellent suri phenotype. Although we have not shown Luciano much, when we did, he took high place ribbons. He won second place in a class of 6 at the 2008 TxOLAN show and then took reserve color champ from that second place position. He has won blue in Bred and Owned yrlg male classes. He is a proven herdsire. We are winding down our suri program, thus not breeding suris anymore, so Luciano's fabulous genetics are not being utilized to their fullest potential here at Bella Vita. He needs a home that will use him to maximize his potential. If you are looking to add a male to your herd for colored suris, this boy should be on your list. Very macho male from great color genetics om both sides of his pedigree. Luciano is sired by the preoptent Captain Morgan, and his dam is Lucy Brown, a lt fawn female out of a black sire. SPECIAL SURI PACKAGE OF COLORED SURIS: Luciano, a Res Champion Captain Morgan, son is also part of our suri package being offered. We have moved most of our suri herd on to new homes but still have 3 breeding suris remaining - 1 proven hersdire, 2 proven females, all dark fawn to brown color, the male unrelated to the females. See our package deal for pricing and availiablity. We will entertain any offers for our remaining suris. This was the group we held back from our initial sell down of our suris, keeping our best to do suris on a smaller scale, so these are not the "leftovers" but very nice breeding stock and 2 of the 3 are blue ribbon and res. champ show winners. The third suri, Sonora, did not get to the show ring, but her sire is a mulitple blue ribbon winner (approx 10 blue ribbons) in halter and fleece and was the 2008 AOBA res. champion suri dark fleece winner. Sonora has fleece like her sire. We are motivated to get these nice suris into an active program that will utilize their genetics. We also have 4 fiber males can be included in the package at no extra cost.

Description

Maternal half sister to our Miracle, Sonora is a very lustrous, fine fleece suri female. She is by our multiple blue ribbon and AOBA res. color champ male, Sparticus, a stunning male who stops people dead in their tracks when we walk him at the show. Sonora's dam is a full Peruvian, 1/2 Accouyo female by full Accoyo SMA Bolivar. Both parents are large boned alpacas, and Sonora has grown rapidly with a large frame herself, yet is gentle and easy to handle, as are both parents. The dam is medium fawn, and the sire is dark fawn out of a rich maroon female sired by a black import male. So, color is loaded in Sonora's pedigree. Sonora's fleece is identical to her sire. She comes from an early maturing line with females well over 100 pounds and ready to breed at 13 months of age. Sonora delivered a full-term 17.5 lb medium brown male cria on 10/13/13, but unfortunately, he was stillbirth. We would be happy to rebreed her should her potential new owner desire before she leaves Bella Vita, provided we still have suri herdsires here to do that service. SPECIAL SURI DEAL Bella Vita Ranch has 11 suris remaining, and we saved the best for last! Buy all proven breeders for $12,000; that's less than $2000 each for the breeding stock and fiber males are free! Most of these are ribbon winners and champions or are offspring of champions. These were hand selected to continue our suri program on a smaller scale, but alas, we have come to the conclusion that we do not have the time or resources to continue both suri and huacaya programs at a level we are satisfied with. So, we are offering our remaining suris at deeply discounted prices to help get them into programs that will utilize their excellent genetics. These are proven, tried and true genetics that have created success for many alpaca farms, past and present.
