Tall and statuesque, Lucy Brown will draw you in with her large, dark, liquid eyes. She is sired by the true black Bolivian Black Magic out of the medium fawn Bolivian Aileen. Lucy has a regal appearance about her and has been a very attentive and protective mother, is an easy breeder with easy births and plenty of milk to support her crias. She has a level topline, straight legs, and long stretchy neck. Her dense fleece is locked with fairly good luster. She has passed color through to her crias and is the dam of medium brown Bella Sylvania (out of Silvestre) who graces the cover of the 2005 fall issue of Alpacas Magazine. That same photo from the magazine is our farm logo and can be seen on ARI advertising as the photo is owned by Alpacas Magazine. They have graciously allowed us to use it as our farm identifier. We were so happy with Sylvania that we bred Lucy back to Silvestre and got the exact same results the second time around in Bella Venezia. Venezia and Sylvania earned a blue ribbon in Produce of Dam for Lucy at the 2006 GWAS show. Capitano Luciano, a son out of Lucy and by Captain Morgan, is on our herdsire row with maroon, locked fleece that has dripped with luster from day one. Lucy is currently open, and we would be happy to breed her to your choice of Bella Vita herdsire with her purchase. We would suggest Epic or Marcus. Or you could try Pistol's Reload or Sparticus for a shot at a darker colored cria.

Capitano Luciano arrived full of himself on his birthday in the late fall of 2006. He is a gorgeous rich maroon color with black points, and his fleece is locked and absolutely drips with luster. He is so lustrous it looks like he was just pulled out from the oil vat. His regrowth every year since has been impressive - still showing good individual locks and high luster. He is very well put togehter with equal proportions, straight legs, level topline and excellent suri phenotype. Although we have not shown Luciano much, when we did, he took high place ribbons. He won second place in a class of 6 at the 2008 TxOLAN show and then took reserve color champ from that second place position. He has won blue in Bred and Owned yrlg male classes. He is a proven herdsire. We are winding down our suri program, thus not breeding suris anymore, so Luciano's fabulous genetics are not being utilized to their fullest potential here at Bella Vita. He needs a home that will use him to maximize his potential. If you are looking to add a male to your herd for colored suris, this boy should be on your list. Very macho male from great color genetics om both sides of his pedigree. Luciano is sired by the preoptent Captain Morgan, and his dam is Lucy Brown, a lt fawn female out of a black sire. We have moved most of our suri herd on to new homes but still have 3 breeding suris remaining - 1 proven hersdire, 2 proven females, all dark fawn to brown color, the male unrelated to the females. This was the group we held back from our initial sell down of our suris, keeping our best to do suris on a smaller scale, so these are not the "leftovers" but very nice breeding stock and 2 of the 3 are blue ribbon and res. champ show winners. The third suri, Sonora, did not get to the show ring, but her sire is a mulitple blue ribbon winner (approx 10 blue ribbons) in halter and fleece and was the 2008 AOBA res. champion suri dark fleece winner. Sonora has fleece like her sire. We are motivated to get these nice suris into an active program that will utilize their genetics. We also have 4 fiber males can be included in the package at no extra cost.
