Millennium is one of our foundation females. She was the first girl born to us. Her births were unassisted and always had plenty of milk for her crias. The crias have always been dark colored — bay black, blacks and one dark charcoal silver gray.
Millennium’s grandsire is Peruvian Drambuie G220. Drambuie was the foundation herdsire for Snowmass Alpacas (and he's the sire of Snowmass Nova's dam). He acquired a collection of blue and champion ribbons and in the show circuit Drambuie became a national champion. Drambuie went to Australia and then Canada to improve their gene pool.
The characteristics of Drambuie’s offspring are fineness, density, crimp, soft hand and great luster. From Millie’s dam, Centennial, and grandsire, Drambuie, she inherited her beautiful fleece. Over the years, she has won ribbons for full fleece and spin-offs competitions. Her topline is straight and she has nice fiber coverage overall.
