1218527<--ari-->White<--color-->Sixth Day Farm was fortunate to aquire a group of outstanding females, including several females imported from the herds of the Rural Alianza co-op in Peru. Dorsett is an outstanding example of the quality of the female side of the pedigrees here.
Dorsett's import micron was AFD 16.8!!!
There is an inverse relationship between the diameter of fiber and the weight of the fleece. In other words, the bigger or 'stonger' the micron, the heavier the fleece. In fact, small increases in Average Fiber Diameter (AFD)results in a proportionately large increase in the fleece weight. Keeping this in mind, the import fleece weight for Dorsett's fleece is amazing: 6.7 lbs!
As if this was not enough (!) another outstanding characteristic of Dorsett's fleece was the relatively fine primaries, a trait she tended to pass along to the crias she produced... that then pass it along to their crias.

Description
Almost every alpaca breeder knows the great Hemingway. Someday he will have a successor. Could this male be the one to fulfill The Alianza Prophecy? Come see him and decide for yourself, or check out the more than 35 offspring he has on the ground proving his value as a stud.
Sire: Predictor is a Hemingway son. Equally important is his dam, Macarena, perhaps the best Peruvian import I have ever seen.
Dam: PPP Dorsett is another wonderful old Peruvian import. Her line is notable for the similarity in micron between the primary and secondary fibers! This uniformity of fine micron within the staple and across the fleece is what makes alpaca comfortable against the skin - a true luxury fiber.
Prophecy's fleece won the purple banner for Judge's Best at the ABWNY show, out of 80 fleeces entered!

Several impressive Prophecy offspring can now be seen at Sixth Day. Prophecy on Bravado daughters is proving to be a "nick" resulting in elite fleeces and showy alpacas, but the Hemingway line crosses well with just about everything out there.
