Description

It did not take a prophet to predict the quality that would result from this mating. Sixth Day Farm has a number of good-looking, well-bred young males with a lot of potential to choose from. Regal Prophet is among the best. Fleece: well organized into small, dense staples that break up into true bundles. The high-frequency, well-defined 'speed-bump' crimp sparkles with brightness. As you can see from the photo, his fiber is uniform in micron, and it has the feel of fine silk between your fingers. Sire - The Alianza Prophecy is bred to be a 'predictable' sire of elite-fleeced offspring. His sire is NWA,Ltd Predictor, a son of the immortal Hemingway. Even more important is the exceptional quality of his dam: PP Macerena was perhaps the best import female I have ever seen. Paternal granddam - PPP Dorsett is another distinguished import female. In particular, her line is showing a strong tendancy to have fleeces that feel like true silk, with fine primaries! Dam - Reggae and her dam, Jamaica, have established one of the stongest dam lines at Sixth Day. Year after year, regardless of the sire used, their crias stand out. Those who study pedigrees will recognize that Reggae's sire - MSA's Santino's Aiden - is not only the grandson of 'superstars' of the breed, but his granddams are also two absolutely top quality females with imrpressive production records of their own. Jamaica's sire is the Studmaster(TM) male known for having been selected by Mike Safely for a fleece style and combination of fineness & density similar to Hemingway. Jamaica's dam is the daughter of two of the Acero Marka Bolivians, a group of alpacas well known for their overall quality. *When viewing the fiber photos, keep in mind that these samples were grabbed on shearing day for fiber testing, shoved into baggies, and mashed into a big bag for most of a year before being photographed.
