An impressive pure Alianza Peruvian, Bravado is our foundation herdsire - in the true sense of the word: the male we built our breeding program on. This guy is fineness personified, with flawless conformation. Just look at the beautiful bundling in his fleece. His micron count at his ninth shearing was 21.8! That's LASTING fineness. Bravado is the result of combining the finest and most proven Peruvian alpaca genetics in North America: Bueno and Hemingway. Bueno is owned by Mike & Robin Tierney of MapleBrook Farm. His stud fee was $10,000, until he stopped breeding about a year ago. Bueno has sired over 100 winning offspring, and we believe Bravado is one of his best. Bravado's dam, NWA,Ltd Marcie contributes another line of proven superior genetics: the world famous Hemingway. Marcie's dam is Macarena, making her a full sister to well known sires Predictor, Hektor and Handsome. Bravado's crias have fantastic fleeces! Don't take my word for it, come see for yourself. Bravado is proudly co-owned with Ben and Gina Morgan of Morgan's Fortunato Farm. Breedings can be arranged at either farm. Call or email today to reserve yours. Bravado had skin biopsies evaluated by both Dr. Norm Evans and Dr. Jim Watts; call to see a copy! Siring CHAMPIONS, including: AlpacaPalace Houdini OutbackAlpacas Ezekiel - brown! Salutation is priceless. A beautiful large white female with ideal conformation that has had seven crias without difficulty. Number seven, by the famous Mr. Antonio, was born July 25, 2004. We named him Antonio's Alianza Salute. He won two blue ribbons in the show ring last spring. We'll let the results speak for themselves. We also own Sal's daughter, Salutation's Sunflower, and Sunflower had an El Moustachio cria in October of 2004. Sal's crias look like carbon copies of her, which is also ideal for a foundation dam. If you have an hembra like Salutation, then you know what she is worth to a breeding program. I'm sure Sal's current cria from Bravado, Bravado's Alianza Sailor, born in August, will be a champion as well. Salutation is due for another Bravado cria in August. If this one is as good as the last two her price will go up again. Now is the time to get her and the next Bravado cria she produces at a bargain price. August 2006 update: Another beautiful cria! Bravado's Saphire, full sister to Sailor. Salutation will be bred to NWA Ltd. Handsome on the 29th.

Pure Alianza Female!

Description

The focus at Sixth Day Farm has always been on developing a genetically predictable herd of alpacas with superior textile traits - alpacas that pay their way with the fiber they produce. As a working farm, showing and marketing have taken a back seat to alpaca care and genetic progress. This means that you will find tremendous value here for the price. Yes, we should have more recent photos... Come and see her for yourself! Saphire is a good-looking alpaca exhibiting all the hallmark's of quality: type, coverage, correct conformation, balanced proportions, and her fleece - fine, DENSE, exceptional staple length, with beautiful high-frequency 'zipper crimp'!!! Sire - At eleven years of age, Bravado is still one of the most impressive alpacas I have ever seen: handsome, proud, correct, with a beautiful head, abundant coverage, and his fleece! This combination of fineness and density is rarely seen. High-frequency 'zipper crimp'. Consistently siring crias with the fine, bright, soft-as-silk fiber that lives up to all the hype about alpaca fiber. PPP Salutation is the matriarch of one of our best female family lines. The overall qualiy is exceptional, with 'showy' crimp. Bravdo's Saphire is a full Alianza female. She is a half sister to CHAMPION Antonio's Alianza Salute, and a full sister to CHAMPION Bravado's Alianza Sailor. If you have seen either of those males, nothing else need be said. Previously, it had been decided that Sixth Day Farm could not afford to sell this girl at ANY price. Now being offered for the first time. Saphire's 2014 EPDs AFD -0.404 0.554 SDAFD -0.51 0.554 SF -0.569 0.625 %F>30 -1.815 0.627 MC 3.007 0.538 SDMC 1.011 0.572 %M -7.871 0.482 MSL 3.884 0.465 FW 0.661 0.374 Saphire is located at Sixth Day Farm East in Hilton, NY.
