Flare is throwing his straight, attractive conformation and those awesome genetics are shining through! Flare's first son, Flare's Incan Nightfire, is an extremely fine champion grey and now has award-winning offspring of his own on the ground. We have found some of the finest and most revered color genetics in the industry. SNOWMASS XXXTREME FLARE was the premier purchase for the International Alpaca Odyssey auction and we are so excited to get him into our breeding program. Thank you, Don & Julie Skinner of Snowmass Alpacas, for donating him to the IAO in 2010. ****GENETICS**** SNOWMASS XXXTREME FLARE has the following champion stud line genetics: Grandsire: SNOWMASS PERUVIAN CASANOVA - Herdsire of the Year and high selling grey male. Grandsire: SNOWMASS XXXTREME - Futurity Herdsire of the Year 2 years in a row. Highest selling male Futurity 2007. Sire: SNOWMASS INCAN KING XXX - This is where it gets even more exciting. Snowmass Incan King was Color Champion at Futurity, IAO, and AOBA Nationals. He was slated to become a key stud at Snowmass when renowned British & AOBA judge Nick Harrington Smith took a great interest in him. Incan King is now a leading colored stud in the UK. AND....Snowmass XXXtreme Flare is one of ONLY 2 sons out of Snowmass Incan King XXX to be born in the US. 3/4 brother: SNOWMASS PORTEUS - leading Futurity Champion stud Dam: SNOWMASS CASANOVA'S CRESCENDA - Snowmass considers Crescenda to be their "#1 Casanova daughter of all time." She has produced herdsire after herdsire. Her fiber stats have been amazing: 1st year - 14.7 microns, 2nd year - 17.4 microns, 4th year - 20.9 microns, 6th year - 21.3 microns! Incredible for a bay black. She won FIRST PLACE at both AWE and AOBA Fleece Shows. SNOWMASS XXXTREME FLARE can advance your color fleeces to the finest levels.

Avanti is one of our retired mamas now. She will make an excellent pasture pet. She did extremely well in our herd during her productive years! Avanti's 2012 cria, a male out of the genetically revered Snwomass XXXtreme Flare, is Flare's Incan Nightfire (FIN). He is a unique and gorgeous dark taupe color with a fleece champion ribbon & halter blue ribbon. Check out his fineness on his webpage - amazing for a grey! He is proven and available for outside breedings. In 2016, Avanti produced another FIN, only female this time and out of the black multi-champion Crescent Moon's Daytona. Her name is AHarmony's Mandala and she is stunning! She produced her first daughter in 2019 - a really beautifully fleeced fawn named River. Avanti's fleece is fantastic, uniform all the way down to her belly with crimp, fineness, density, color. Her dam is very consistently producing exceptional offspring. In fact, both Avanti's dam and sire are CHAMPIONS! Makella, her dam, won Reserve Champion for her fleece at Showcase in 2007. And in 2008 she got 2nd at Nationals (fleece) at 4 years old. She also has first place ribbons for halter from big shows such as GWAS. Avanti's sire, Hudson Hawk, is a gorgeous and successful black stud producing fineness and passing on his fantastic crimp. He won many championships during his show years and is maintaining his fineness and other desirable fleece characteristics. In 2008 we wrote, "She is going to produce an elite fleece come shearing next year" and boy did she! Her fleece won fawn COLOR CHAMPION at the Level 4 AFCNA Continental Fleece Show. Judge Wade Gease wrote, "Beautiful Appeal - Bright & Stylish to tip!" Then in May 2010 she got 1st place at Nationals! Both Avanti's dam and sire have maintained extremely fine fleeces well into adulthood (Makella's is 21 at almost 6 years old, Hudson Hawk's is 22 at 5 years old), giving Avanti a good chance of producing a highly usable elite fleece throughout her life. If that's not enough, Avanti produces an abundance of milk and is a wonderful mother. We couldn't ask for anything more. Avanti's top Peruvian genetics include Royal Fawn, Peruvian Augusto, El Moustachio, Don Julio, and Show Me the Money!

Description

Feast your eyes on this uniquely colored stud and then feast your eyes on his pedigree! Flare's Incan Nightfire (FIN) is a product of Champion full Peruvian bloodlines (including Nationals & Futurity). The genetics on this boy are so impressive - where to begin! Even better yet is to see him in person and get a hand on his gorgeous, tightly crimped, incredibly fine, modern grey fleece which translates to a yarn that is highly sought after. FIN is well-proportioned and balanced with a straight topline, absolutely stunning head, straight legs, and correct bite. He stands out amongst our very handsome group of herdsires. FIN's first fleece was a delightful surprise, come shearing. With brown tips, we knew that he was much darker at the skin, giving him a bit of a glow - thus the name Nightfire. But we didn't realize the full extent of his unique, exciting dark taupe color and the wonderful quality of his fleece until shearing day. FIN's fleece characteristics are much like that of his Champion dam, Sweet Pines Avanti - one judge, placing her Fawn Champion, wrote of her fleece: "Beautiful appeal - bright and stylish to tip". FIN's fleece has her same appeal with tight, uniform crimp, with great brightness and density. And oh my, the coverage! FIN is covered with his almost purple-looking fleece from head to toe. And he is holding his fineness and length!...19 microns at 4 yrs old. Our local handspinners covet his fleece. FIN's color is certainly influenced genetically by his very famous grey great grandsire, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova. Casanova was Futurity Herdsire of the Year and has greatly contributed in improving the US herd with superior color genetics. FIN's grandsire on his sire's side is a National, IAO, and Futurity Champion who now stands stud in the UK. Snowmass XXXtreme Flare (FIN's sire) is one of only two sons he left behind in the US. FIN has produced a really lovely daughter here on the ranch, who is now having incredibly beautiful offspring of her own. Kamara's first daughter, Pagani, is a slightly darker version of FIN, with much more black in her fleece. Her second daughter is a dark brown with such density and crimp. We can't wait to see her grow. We have discovered that we love the result of Crescent Moon's Daytona covering a FIN or Banderas daughter. It's exactly what we are looking for!
