Feast your eyes on this uniquely colored stud and then feast your eyes on his pedigree! Flare's Incan Nightfire (FIN) is a product of Champion full Peruvian bloodlines (including Nationals & Futurity). The genetics on this boy are so impressive - where to begin! Even better yet is to see him in person and get a hand on his gorgeous, tightly crimped, incredibly fine, modern grey fleece which translates to a yarn that is highly sought after. FIN is well-proportioned and balanced with a straight topline, absolutely stunning head, straight legs, and correct bite. He stands out amongst our very handsome group of herdsires. FIN's first fleece was a delightful surprise, come shearing. With brown tips, we knew that he was much darker at the skin, giving him a bit of a glow - thus the name Nightfire. But we didn't realize the full extent of his unique, exciting dark taupe color and the wonderful quality of his fleece until shearing day. FIN's fleece characteristics are much like that of his Champion dam, Sweet Pines Avanti - one judge, placing her Fawn Champion, wrote of her fleece: "Beautiful appeal - bright and stylish to tip". FIN's fleece has her same appeal with tight, uniform crimp, with great brightness and density. And oh my, the coverage! FIN is covered with his almost purple-looking fleece from head to toe. And he is holding his fineness and length!...19 microns at 4 yrs old. Our local handspinners covet his fleece. FIN's color is certainly influenced genetically by his very famous grey great grandsire, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova. Casanova was Futurity Herdsire of the Year and has greatly contributed in improving the US herd with superior color genetics. FIN's grandsire on his sire's side is a National, IAO, and Futurity Champion who now stands stud in the UK. Snowmass XXXtreme Flare (FIN's sire) is one of only two sons he left behind in the US. FIN has produced a really lovely daughter here on the ranch, who is now having incredibly beautiful offspring of her own. Kamara's first daughter, Pagani, is a slightly darker version of FIN, with much more black in her fleece. Her second daughter is a dark brown with such density and crimp. We can't wait to see her grow. We have discovered that we love the result of Crescent Moon's Daytona covering a FIN or Banderas daughter. It's exactly what we are looking for!

Dam: Sweet Pines Regal

outgoing personality

Sweet Pines Regal

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 36075348DOB: 6/26/20195 yrs
This beautiful friendly female is a daughter of black champion Crescent Moon's Daytona and one of our favorite dams on the farm, Sweet Pines Tigra. When we breed Daytona to a Spanish Peaks Banderas daughter (Tigra's sire), we love the result every time and Regal is one of those! She will make an excellent foundation female. Regal now has a beautiful daughter with wonderful conformation and a fun personality just like her mama! We could not have asked for a better birth and Regal is taking to motherhood quite naturally. Regal's blanket is a solid true black with one small fawn spot and her neck fades into a silver grey. It will be loads of fun seeing what she produces each time she is bred. Regal's fleece carries excellent density with a lovely handle and crimp. Her fleece will go straight into a highly sought-after yarn. Each fleece has exhibited length and a silky soft handle. Regal's sire, Crescent Moon's Daytona, has solidified high quality color in our herd with such a deep velvety black passed onto many of his offspring along with density that has increased our blanket weights by about 25% on average! More useable fleece per animal means much better bang for your buck and that is what we have achieved with Daytona. Given her dam's milk supply and excellent mothering, Regal is bound to be a solid producer. Tigra has had 'easy' unassisted births with healthy offspring every time. Her beautiful offspring carry her lasting fineness into adulthood. But what stands out the most with Tigra's offspring is their personality - always so personable and generally interested in what you are doing. Regal' was bred to Flare's Incan Nightfire of Alpaca Harmony, LLC for her 2022 cria. This handsome grey sire is out of Snowmass XXXtreme Flare. This is quite the coming together of genetics with Spanish Peaks Banderas (dark rose grey and Top 1% EPD in length), Crescent Moon's Daytona (multi-champion incredibly uniform black herdsire) and FIN (dark rose grey) with his Snowmass genetics, handsome straight conformation, and such an attractive head!

Service Sire: Sweet Pines Maserati

Champion Rose Grey

Sweet Pines Maserati

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 30723245DOB: 7/23/20168 yrs
Sweet Pines Maserati (Mazi) stands out in the herd with his pink (rose grey) color, friendliness, and macho presence. His impressive awards include two blue ribbons (National Fleece Show & NW Showcase) and a championship (NW Showcase). Mazi's stunning fleece has beautiful appeal with a lovely uniform crimp and bundling. He is also holding fineness and length into adulthood. His offspring are proving to be unbelievably crimpy all the way through the topknot with gorgeous conformation. We are quite pleased! Maserati's sire, NPA Peruvian San Simeon Suave, is known for extreme fineness with well-known elite Peruvian genetics (e.g. Don Juan, Caligula, El Nino, Hemingway, etc.) in his background. He and his offspring have some of the most impressive EPDs we've seen, especially in fineness and uniformity. Maserati's dam, Sweet Pines Rally, is one of our favorite daughters out of our herdsire, El Campeon. El Campeon has passed, so Rally is especially prized. Rally has maintained a soft, next-to-skin fleece well into adulthood. Her offspring are lovely every time.

Description

Sweet Pines Tigris is a solid nutmeg brown female with black accents indicative of the dark colors of her parents. Her soft fleece is quite impressive in volume and length. Tigris is square and well balanced in conformation. She stands upright with confidence just like her dam. She is now bred to our rose grey stud, Sweet Pines Maserati (Mazi), for a 2025 cria. Tigris' sire, Flare's Incan Nightfire, is a modern dark silver grey and multi-blue-ribbon winner for conformation and fleece in highly competitive shows. His elite color genetics come from Snowmass and champion lines. He throws offspring that are terrific producers. Tigris' dam, Sweet Pines Regal, is a daughter of Crescent Moon's Daytona, the multi-champion true black herdsire (now deceased). She produces volumes of true black velvety fleece. Her friendly, confident personality made her a favorite of her new owners where she continues producing gorgeous offpsring. Tigris is bred to Sweet Pines Maserati - a champion rose grey herdsire producing such soft and uniform offspring. When it comes to next-to-skin yarn, the fiber sheared off of Mazi and his progeny are exactly what you want. This is a wonderful pairing.
