Beauty is a half Peruvian proven female that has a sweet disposition and is a gentle animal. She births easily, has plenty of milk, a great mom and a joy to have in our herd. Beauty throws color when breed to color. She gave us a stunning dark fawn female fall of 08. Her breeding to Lancaster's Lighting McQueen for a fall 2009 cria produced a fantastic female. Photos to follow. Beauty was bred to Crescent Moon's Ante Up for a May 2011 cria. This gorgeous cria arrived and hit the ground running. FIne, straight, square, and did I say fine? with beautiful crimpy fleece this medium fawn male cria is a stunner! Beauty is currently exposed to Crescent Moon's Ante Up again for a spring 2013 cria. On March 22 Beauty gave us an Ante Up son! He is medium or dark brown and very active! He is growing well.

Severn is a unique color combo of MB, BB, and vicuna patterning. His blanket is medium brown with good crimp, density, organization, and nice hand with excellent staple. The rest of this boy is dark where alpacas are typically light, and he has vicuna patterning on his belly and inner legs. He looks like a "negative rose grey", and based on his strong heritage of black and grey genetics, he should certainly be able to produce both. We have exposed Severn to Rosie Angel Finch for a fall 2012 cria. The combination of her extreme density with his excellent fleece characteristics should complement each other for a very nice cria. You have to see this boy in person to experience his unique coloring. Check him out and reserve a breeding at the listed introductory price, and watch for auction specials to help spread his genetics to other breeding programs! comments by Thistledown Alpacas: Severn was quite the surprise, out of 3X Champion dark silver grey sire, Nikos, and our blue ribbon-winning true black dam, Lady. Born on December 13th, with a pedigree to die for - Felix, Yupanqui, Snowmass Nova, Hannaruh, Fantasy's Gremlin and Outback Gold - his coloration is most unusual. He has a bay black head, neck and lower legs, plus black fibers shot through his brown blanket, and a white "7" on his face. He is like a negative rose grey, and has wonderful conformation and presence. Interesting little guy, with lovely fine, crimpy fiber.

Description

Amelia is a beautiful proud girl with black face, ears and lower legs. She sports ultra-fine fleece, incredible staple length, uniform crimp throughout her full coverage. Amelia has great conformation and a perfect bite. Check out her 07 female cria, a stunning rose grey from Kash's Rainmaker. Amelia is was bred to Crescent Moon's Ante Up for a May 2011 cria. This gorgeous true black female cria is absolutely stunning! She arrived strong and straight and was up and nursing in no time! We lost this wonderful cria to a freak accident with a badly broken leg. She was healthy up to that point and had no issues. Amelia is exposed to Sampson for a Nov 2012 cria. This male throws rose grey with maroon females, so we're hoping he will do so with Amelia. Amelia was behavior testing open after several exposures to Sampson, so we also exposed her to Knightrider. Ultrasounds in March of 2012 show definite pregnancy with a larger than expected cria. I am moving her due date to early October, but since this was a pasture breed we can't be sure of the exact date. Amelia throw's amazing crias, this baby should be exceptional no matter what color! In November Amelia gave birth to a jet black male cria, we believe this is a Knightrider son as Sampson has never thrown black. This boy is dense! He is growing well and already a leader of the pack. Congrats to Judy and Bert for adding Amelia and her cria to their herd!
