Getty's fleece has very nice density with crimp and soft hand. His 2014 cria fleece tested w/ Yocom McColl at AFD 19.4, SD 3.4, CV 17.8, and only 0.9 >30! Wow! Very nice with a 4" staple after only 9 months of growth. (sheared in July 2013 right after birth) We are moving in a different direction and have sold most of our darker females so Gettysburg will not be used for many breedings with our small herd (5 females). Getty would make a very nice fiber male but could be used for breeding as well. He just doesn't match well with our small female herd. We will probably geld him this fall if not sold before then.
