Wow! We love this guy. Andean Gold is the offspring of our Multiple Champion Tell Vaccoyo's Secret who is from the well known Victor's Vaccoyo! Andean is of medium build, has a very full fleeced head and shorter muzzle. His fleece is superb with dense, rich fiber that has a fine handle and consistent bold crimp throughout. His coverage is unbelievably complete from head to fetlock. Andean is just a perfect example of an alpaca that has it all, and the judges agree awarding him 13 blue ribbons and 8 banners. In fact he took the first AFCNA fleece award at the 2006 AOBA national show beating out younger and lighter colored fleeces. He also won the color champion at the 2007 Buckeye show at 5 years of age and as a grand finally to his show career he took the brown champion and the judges choice award at the 2011 Buckeye show at almost 9 years of age. Now let talk about production, Andean has also produced cria’s in every color from white to black and everything in between (even grey). He has also produced multiple champions, including 10 time champion Sunset Hills Golden Thunder who was one of the top sellers at the 2011 AOBA national auction. So no matter the color or the background of your Dam, let Andean Gold produce a winner for you.

She's a Beauty!!! A wonderful addition!

LAAF Paladin's Belledin

HuacayaBred (Female)White
AOA# 31900782DOB: 9/26/201014 yrs
LAAF Paladin's Belledin is one of the first Paladin east coast progeny--and also one of his best. Thank you Mike and Sarah for offering one of your finest foundation females for us to add to enhance our breeding program. Belledin is white but carries alot of color in her background. Perfect conformation, medium bone and sturdy frame. Great coverage, with incredible crimp well into her lower legs. Her crimp is very consistent and is evident without even opening her fleece, extending to the very tip of the fiber. Belledin is very dense. She has taken Reserve Champion twice and in the shows where she placed fourth, both times the judges remarked that any of the top four could have been in first. Belledin's dam, LA Belleza placed at the top of her classes in very competitive Level V shows has maintained one of our best fleeces out of Long Acre Alpaca Farm's foundation females. Belledin's sire, Paladin, is an impressive male with a fantastic genetic background. Paladin has one of the densest fleeces and his crimp curvature is possibly one of several highest ever recorded by fiber analysis.

Description

When I opened up Tank's massive fleece, his fawn coloring also had grey fibers. So he's a Fawn Roan. That was curious, so looking into his pedigree, there was black and grey in there. hmmmm, as our alpaca friends are always saying. His sire is SUNSET HILL'S ANDEAN GOLD who has produced both black and grey offspring and is a grandson of Pperuvian Victor. Dam is LAAF PALADIN'S BELLEDIN, a Pperuvian Victor great-granddaughter & 5th generation Hemingway. She, too, has a bit of black and grey in her heritage. Mom has only been bred to white or light fawn males and produced those colors. Tank has one registered cria on the ground, a LF from a breeding with a white dam. So, after shearing, we can see he carries great bone, is square and "has good skin" per Chris Hatch who did the honors. I asked what that meant exactly, and he explained that Tank skin has wrinkles or "sand bars" along his back and neck. This, apparently, is a good thing as it means his fleece will be more dense due to more surface area. He is a sweet guy who is fits in well here. We're offering stud service which includes the "your place or mine" drive by option. We're located near Syracuse, NY so reach out and/or stop by if interested in this guy. He can come to your girl(s) or you can bring them here for drive by or boarding for breeding. GENETIC TESTING: e1e1 a2a3 --SO 2 dilution genes and 2 black genes for those using genotypes for breeding. Does NOT carry classic grey! He can be bred to EE aa female and produce 100% black (the a's are black alleles/genes) - remember Punnett squares from Bio class?? Or even a Ee aa female if you're feeling lucky for 50% chance of black. Update: Fawn Girl - 17.8# Melissa- delivered by Molly and Sean, a bay black boy, 19.4# out of Sultry. Both have good, solid bone, with improved fiber density - waiting to see their fiber following cria clipping. Got questions about what he'll produce with your girl? Contact us 315-243-3782
