** Congratulations to Rick and Vickie McCaffrey, Creston Valley Alpacas, on the purchase of Sir John Eh! He is a macho male who will bring color to his offspring!
Sir John Eh's genetics include Jolimont 2 Peruvian Alpamayo, MMR Black Shadow and Elite Shelley. His immediate sire, Fibre Works Technicolour, is a bay black whose micron at age 3 was only 21. Technicolour placed 1st in his class at the 2005 Northlands Farm Fair Show.
Sir John Eh's dam, MMR Misty's Peruvian Xena, has consistently produced show winners with outstanding fibre characteristics. She was one of our foundation dams until she passed away in July 2010. At 10 years her fibre stats were: 23.1, 4.6, 20.1 and 3.9 >30 - outstanding!!
Sir John Eh's fibre has pencil-thin locks that are fine, fine, fine with lovely bold crimp that is very uniform, even into his 2nd year!
At his first halter show, the 2009 A.L.P.A.C.A. Spring Show, Sir John Eh placed 1st in his class and went on to win Reserve Colour Champion. His fleece placed 2nd in the 2009 AC/CNASF National Fleece Show that year. Judge's comments were: "Good brightness & character - quite a uniform fleece!"
In 2010, his fleece won Reserve Champion Brown, and placed 1st twice and 2nd place once in three different shows with three different judges.
Sir John Eh settled his first females in 2010. John's first offspring was born in June 2011 - a dark brown female, owned by T 'n C Alpacas. Even though she was only a few days old, crimp and brightness were evident in her fleece!
