His sire is the decorated Psylent Knight, a male who proved his worth time and again during an era of stiff competition. Psylent Knight’s impressive show record includes First Place honors at the 2010 AOBA National Alpaca Show for Fleece and a 2008 ABR Fall Festival Halter win for Get of Sire. His accolades also include second-place ribbons from the 2010 MOPACA Invitational, 2009 ABR Fall Festival, 2009 The Suri Networks All Suri Fleece Show, and the 2006 Great Western Alpaca Show, in addition to third-place finishes at the 2006 AOBA National Alpaca Show and The Futurity. This paternal line is steeped in prestige. Psylent Knight’s sire was GS SALADIN 554, a Reserve Champion and first-place winner in his own right. Psylent Knight’s dam was the formidable PRADA'S PERUVIAN BERYL MARKHAM, a multiple Champion and consistent first-place winner. Her sire was the infamous DDF PERUVIAN MACGYVER, a legendary producer of Grand Champions and a multiple Get of Sire winner. This line traces back even further to PPERUVIAN BRUXO, who also boasts first-place awards for Get of Sire and Produce of Dam, proving a long-established history of potent, heritable traits. Rio Grande’s dam side is equally impressive, distinguished by elite, data-driven genetics. His mother, GVA COALDUST, carries outstanding 2024 EPDs, ranking in the Top 10% for %F>30, the Top 15% for AFD and %M, and the Top 25% for SF. Her sire was SIERRA BONITA'S MACGYVER'S MOJO, a multiple first-place victor with his own powerhouse 2024 EPDs in the Top 5% for %F>30 and %M, the Top 10% for AFD, and the Top 15% for SF.
