Awakening is co-owned with Brenda Weber of BlueRidge Alpaca Ranch outside of La Crosse, WI. We are thrilled to have Michelangelo's Awakening. He is a show champion and an established sire of champion off-spring. Usually he produces the color of the dam, especially for grey (his dam was grey). His crias are outstanding - fine and dense. Silver Sistine, Sooper Trooper and Tokyo Smoke (at Blue Ridge Alpacas) have brought home blue, purple, and orange ribbons. Come see them and make your decision for your next breedings. You won't be disappointed. Show winnings and Judges comments about Awakening: At Minnesota Alpaca Expo 2014: 1st place out of a class of 8 dark brown juvie males and a Reserve Championship. Judge Peter Kennedy comments, “At 7 months of age he is beautifully grown, very balanced showing a great level of maturity. He is extremely fine, very well organized, beautiful level of brightness with the level of organization, very uniform in his micron. Beautiful softness of hand, a great deal of density overall.” At AOA Nationals 2014: 1st Place out of a class of 9 dark brown juvenile males. Judge Diana Timmerman comments, "He has a super fine fleece, it has incredible brightness and is very well nourished. It shows excellent architecture throughout and the character extends the length of the staple, it is also evident all the way through and all those characteristics give him great density." At Railsplitter 2014: 1st place out of a class of 6 brown juvenile males and the Color Championship for brown males. Judge Peter Kennedy commentts, “Showing a great level of maturity for his age with a beautiful level of coverage. Very true to type. The fleece is extremely fine showing excellent amplitude with his high frequency crimp style through his entire blanket and everywhere I looked it was all the same. Very well organized and great density. It is opening up very cleanly and is very bright, with a beautiful soft hand.”

Wibotawot Ventura's Vixen

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 35279853DOB: 3/28/20177 yrs
Vixen is the daughter of JLFA Millenium's Ventura ("Vinnie") who is a medium fawn 8X champion who produces champions. Vinnie has some of the finest, softest fiber you will find. The high frequency crimp and density is amazing. Vinnie took 2nd Get of Sire at the 2016 AOA Nationals and 1st at 2015 Wisconsin Alpaca & Fiber Fest, and 2015 MIAF, and 2015 AMerican Alpaca Showcase. For 2016, Vinnie was in the top 1% on 4 EPD categories: AFD, SF, SDAFD, and Medulated Fibers! Through Vinnie, Vixen boasts powerful bloodlines including Snowmass Millenium, 4Peruvian Legacy, Hemingway (2x!), Elite Maximus, Accoyo Elite and 5Peruvian Valeroso. Those bloodlines have given her long staple length and great density. Her (initially) light fawn blanket does lighten toward the belly, to the point that now she classifies as beige on her barrel, but a fawn dorsal stripe and a dark head. She is large (wide), sturdy, with the build for a foundation dam, but has a short stature. Vixen and Michelangelo's Awakening produced a VERY NICE, light fawn boy May 2020. Take a look at Sooper Trooper. 1ST PLACE at 2021 National Show as a juvie!!!! 1ST PLACE and COLOR CHAMPION for walking fleece 2021 Illinois Alpaca Show!!! (Not so good in halter - he's small). July 2022 and it looks like Vixen + Awakening made another keeper. Looks just like mom - beige with a darker dorsal stripe. In keeping with the Abba theme - this one is "NINA Pretty Ballerina." Vixen is tentatively bred to Action Jaxson for a June 2025 cria. Time to bring in some new bloodlines into our herd - our herd is heavy with Ventura.

$2500 for the pair

Description

Black Typhoon and Sooper Trooper, available as a pair for $2500, are looking to make someone's Christmas special! (They must go together.) They were originally sold several years ago, but life changes has the current owners needing to rehome them. Both boys have been sheared for 2024 and are ready to go. They have been in an all-boys herd and have not been used for breeding, but they are intact and both boys have excellent genetics to pass on. If you need a third male to add to the herd, we can make a deal on a male from our farm (Wibotawot Farm) to form a colorful herd with Typhoon and Trooper. Choose from light brown, dark brown, white, beige. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Awakening offspring!!! Words cannot describe that fleece and the all over coverage he has. Vet was doing the TB test for Nebraska for 2021 AOA National Show - "He's a crimpy one" she says. And she's not wrong! Judge Wade Gease agreed, awarding him 1st place! And in the fall of 2021, again 1st place for walking fleece - resulting in Color Champion for Fawns!!! Halter placing was not as good, as he was a "teenager," long and lanky and not grown up. As a four year old, he is smaller (about 125 pounds), but does not get pushed around by others.
