Xenia's impact on our breeding program impressive. Hard to belive when you look at her head style, but some of our best heads come from her!
Xenia is the daughter of ACA Crispina, a Hemingway grand-daughter. Her paternal side packs on some impressive genetics: her sire is a Supreme Champion Vaccoyo son from a 3x Reserve Champion Alpamayo daughter. Her great-grand-dam is MMR Arecelle, daugther of a stunning Australian import Jolimont Peruvian Arequipa that also produced Colour Champion and the dam of 3 of our past herdsires, Arequipina. When you combine Hemingway, Alpamayo and Vaccoyo, you have amazing results.
Xenia was purchased in March 2008. We didn't participate in shows before 2012, so unfortunatly this girl missed the show ring, but I am confident she would have done well. Back then, conformations were less strict (at least in Eastern Canada). Her fleece has an amazing crimp style, if I compare her samples to Allure's, it is very similar in term of frequency and amplitude. At 13, there is still a bit of crimp in her fleece.
Her 2013 male sired by Andrade, Amadeo is our gentle giant. He is still the prettiest alpaca in terms of conformation. He is very macho. Also winner of 3rd place in show, he would have been a perfect alpaca if only he had fineness, which was lacking very often on Andrade's progeny.
5th cria is Aquarelle, a Monte-Cristo daughter. Aquarelle won the 1st place in show. She is producing beautiful crias, especially with Magnus.
6th cria is another girl by Andrade. Adrenaline is one of our prettiest females. She only won a 4th place in show, but her offsprings are stunning and Champions!. Her first cria Aucean is a 1st place winner, her second is a Reserve Champion grey male, her 3rd cria is Fawn Colour Champion and Best Crimp winner with a score of 85/100!
7th cria is sired by Chananza. Allure inherit her dam's conformation, but her fleece is so stunning! She could have won 4 championship ribbons if she had an improved conformation (comments from a judge), instead she retired from her show career with 3 Championship wins... Not too shabby! At 5, her fleece hasn't chance! The same crimp, the same length, nice handle and density.
Cria 8th and 9th are females, now sold.
