We sadly said goodbye to our matriarch, Lucy on March 18. She lived 18.5 years and spent her past (almost) 3 years at Honey Maple Farms, where she raised her last cria (Luna) and enjoyed her "retirement." We will miss seeing her face every day and giving/getting her kisses! Rest easy now sweet girl!! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Lucy's sire is the remarkable 4P Condor. He is famous for grey and appaloosa patterned crias. Lucy is a true appaloosa, fawn spots on a white/beige background. She is a large girl and a wonderful mother. Lucy has very fine fleece. Her first fleece was 16 micron. Her 2010 fleece was 21.5 microns, SD 5.0. That's fantastic for a breeding female almost 6 years old!!!! Lucy delivered a beautiful female cria, Lunar Eclipse (Luna), out of Ghost Ryder in May of 2020. This was his last cria. At her age, this may well be Lucy's last cria as well before her retirement from our breeding program. Lucy is not for sale and will spend her later years with us at Honey Maple Farms! She has earned it!!!
