30348165<--ari-->White<--color-->TORBIO is an original in every sense of the word. He was one of the original Accoyo Suri herdsires hand-picked by Don Julio Barreda and introduced to the U.S. by Nola Graham. He is the "REAL THING"!
Torbio has tremendous presence. He is very proud of himself, and although he is smallish in stature, he commands the respect of all the other males in the pasture. He is also one of the last males to survive from that importation. He and Ganador are the only 2 Older Gentlemen still alive. Even at his advanced age, Torbio has a bright glint in his eye, and a spring in his step. We asked him what age he wanted to live to. Without hesitation, he shot back, "25". We asked him why 25. He chuckled and watched a butterfly go by... "Well, because very few alpacas die after 25!" He has such a sense of humor for an old guy!
He is best known for his ability to pass his outstanding traits to his progeny. Even today, Torbio's fleece has blinding luster and that greasy feel that we all strive for. He has reproduced himself over and over, with well over 200 offspring registered. He is still producing champions in the show ring, and can be counted on to throw his luster, lock and density with great regularity.
In 2006, Our Peruvian Accoyo Rockstar won Suri Herdsire of the Year, and his Pop, Torbio, took Reserve Suri Herdsire of the Year! Those are powerful genetics!

Her 1st cria is our very own ¾ Accoyo Storm Warning – 6x champion!!! Her 3rd cria is a bay black who took reserve color champion as a SHORN YEARLING! Description
Tsunami's Storm Warning is a force to be reckoned with! With his slick and lustrous suri fiber he will surely add not only quality but some incredible gentics to your herd. As a Peruvian TORBIO (full accoyo) son, he is one of only a handful of brown or black colored offspring which makes this 3/4 accoyo, medium brown suri male a rarity. Storm's dam, CCNF Tsunami is a stunning, 1/2 Accoyo, jet black black female out of the 1/2 accoyo male Maelstrom (rare genetics) who took 1st place at AOBA in 2005 in a large and extremely competitive class. Storm's dam has produced several champions for us and we always look forward to her next winning cria!
During his 2 years of showing he took the show ring by "storm", winning a total of 6 color and reserve color championship titles!
Storm's intensely lustrous fleece is incredibly uniform and fine. His fleece has an amazing cool, slick, soft handle to it and his regrowth is stunning. From a fleece perspecive, genetic perspective, phenotype perspective, and show perspective, Storm is the ideal male!
Storm Warning is producing cria that have inherited his gorgeous phenotypical suri head with great beards and beautifully lustrous dense fiber. Storm's daughter, Jolly Rancher's Calypso, took color champion in a large fleece class at Fiber Fusion NW. His son, This is Firestorm, took 1st at NWAS. His daughters, Alpacalicious Iris and Miss Oregon, each took 2nd in competitive classes at Alpacapalooza (Miss Oregon was beaten only by the Futurity color champion).
