Sadly, we lost Warrior in a dog attack at our farm in 2019. When we decided to add a black herdsire to our lineup, we knew that Black Warrior was the boy we wanted. He is the full package, beautiful typey head, fleece that rivals light color fleece and genetics that are spectacular and new to our herd. We hope to be able to continue on with our friend Alan's plan for this fine young male. We are truly impressed with his lack of guard hair and density in his true black fleece. We are looking forward to putting some color into our herd. Histogram for Black Warrior: 1st Year: 19.1/22.2/1.7 2nd Year: 20.7/19.7/2.1 Spring 2015 ~ Warrior's first 2 cria are on the ground! Med fawn (Hayley) and a med brown (Mason) - both out of white girls. Amazing bundles and crimp on both babies. Well worth the wait for these lovely babies! Way to go Warrior! Fall 2015 - Warrior sired the lightest silver gray cria (Max) out of a MSG dam. What a pretty little boy! Warrior continues to give us some of the nicest babies on the farm. Don't miss a chance to put him to use on your girls. Our beloved Warrior was killed in the spring of 2019 in a dog attack.

Diamond is a short statured girl with extremely dense fiber with good character, even into her older years. She's had easy births and her cria grow well. Diamond would make an excellent female for a small farm and should have the ability to have several more cria in the future. Diamond has thrown color when bred to color. In fact, early in June '24 she produced the cutest spotted girl for us!

Description

Zena has been a farm favorite since birth. We supplemented her for a while, so she's friendly with people and bold enough to stand her ground with the older girls. We definitely don't breed for brown, but this combo of Diamond and Warrior resulted in a really nice, dense, crimpy fiber - in brown. With the black genetics, she will be fun to breed, because so much color is in her line.
