Hope is just that - she was our last hope for a girl the year she was born. Finally after the birth of 6 boys, we finally got one with indoor plumbing! Hope is everything we knew she would be - a breeding with our best girl + our best guy = fantastic! Hope does have a brown spot on her shoulder so she should be able to produce color when bred to color. We've worked hard to achieve our white breeding program and it's paying off with crimp and density along with some of the best and the straightest conformation I've seen. Hope is worth a look if you want to breed for quality white animals. Hope gave birth to her first cria in October 2013. She's the cutest little pip and we just love her as much as mom. We were thrilled with her 2016 shearing. One of the longest staples we sheared - just lovely structure and crimp. Hope was bred to Rosehaven's Diablo in 2014 after we saw what he produced last year. That produced a white male with some of the finest fleece I've seen on the farm. He just had his first shearing so it will be fun to see how he develops over time. Oct 18 Update: Hope gave birth to what I think is our cutest baby ever. He's med fawn with the biggest eyes. He is out of Black Warrior. His personality is to die for - friendly and curious. My favorite of the year! Pics coming soon. November 2020: Hope gave birth to a white male with perfect conformation and what looks like it will be amazing fiber. His 2023 shearing provided us with the heaviest fleece in our herd. Spring 2023 - Hope delivered a white boy with what looks to be great fleece (again) out of our boy Hercules. Hope would make a great animal for someone starting a small herd.

We were trying for a harlequin when we bred our Black Warrior (Black Epic line) to a friend's harlequin female. While he didn't come out a harlequin, he is a smoky bay black which leads me to believe that he will gray out like his mother was. We also think there is a good chance he could pass on his mother's harlequin genes. We can't wait to try. His cria fleece was nearly 5" long so it was hard to tell how much structure he will have in his next fleece, but what was next to the skin was pretty impressive. This is one really lovely boy! Spring of 2023 - he bred his first female so we are looking forward to next spring to see what he can produce for us.

Description

Diamond is a short statured girl with extremely dense fiber with good character, even into her older years. She's had easy births and her cria grow well. Diamond would make an excellent female for a small farm and should have the ability to have several more cria in the future. Diamond has thrown color when bred to color. In fact, early in June '24 she produced the cutest spotted girl for us!
