Jamison is an amazing medium fawn breeding male. He has very strong bloodlines: Hemingway, Dracula, Pluro and Peruvian Mr. President. Sound genetics for generations. He is phenotypically correct. His conformation is strong and straight and his head is very typey. Full face and top-knot, with crimp! His fiber is very dense with an extremely high-frequency crimp that is fine enough to create wonderful bundles. The luster is very bright and his uniformity is consistent from deep shoulder to hip. He passes his high luster and density and crimp on to his offspring every time. Jamison is still VERY EASY to handle. We do a lot of mobile breeding, and going to new farms has never been a problem. He jumps in the trailer every time and we very rarely have to return to the same farm twice. Wintercreek's Jamison has been added to our sales list for 2018. We have two males coming of age and I don't like to see a great male not used at his own farm. He has thrown almost every color, but he seems to consistently throw Rose Grey when bred to grey females! His cria always bring home a ribbon! He is not actively 'for sale', however with the right circumstances, we would be happy to sell him to a working ranch.

Catriona is a beautiful medium silver grey. She is fine, bright with a good crimp style. Her blanket has one little spot. Cat has a strong and straight conformation. She is an outstanding mother, an easy breeder. She births easily and has loads of milk. She comes from a very strong silver & black lineage and her offspring reflect this strong pedigree. SIRE: Wintercreek's Navarre of Challenger (MSG), is a pigmented grey. His grey fiber looks blue. His lineage include Legend's Challenger of KPR, 5P Royal Inca Legend & Hemingway. Navarre was a multiple blue ribbon winner. DAM: Wintercreek's Sieva (TB), a fine true black that produces silver when bred to silver. Sieva is a consistent producer. Her lineage includes Peruvian Black Epic, 4P Black Magic, KPR Pewter, 5P Klassique Grey , PLS's Silver Empress, Michelangelo & P Guellermo. Catriona's first cria is a TB female (WC's Laoghaire) out of Wintercreek's Jamison (MF). She is super fine and is a fiber monster with perfect phenotype. Catriona's 2nd cria is a MSG female (WC's Audra) out of Neversummer's US Steel. Steel is a 3X recipient of the coveted "Herdsire of the Year" award. He has an outstanding show ring history and his offspring are doing exceptional in the show ring. Catriona is bred to Wintercreek's Jorah of Holy Smoke (Smokey now deceased) for a fall 2024 offspring. Jorah is DSG with many blue ribbons and RCs. A fiber monster with the perfect phenotype. This should be an exciting breeding. Catriona will be a very strong addition to any silver, rose grey or black breeding program.

Description

Wintercreek's Laoghaire (pronounced "Leary") is a non-fading True Black. She is large boned, conformationally sound and her fiber is beautiful. Her fiber is bright and full of luster. Small crimp and consistent from shoulder to hip. She has fiber in abundance! Her handle is very soft and her density is good. Sire - Wintercreek's Jamison(MF), a Multiple Color Championship winner. This is his first true black in his whole breeding history. I was very excited. Jamison's lineage starts with Mr. Golden Boy (LF), and Ross (MRG), one of the first Rose Grey Herdsires in the nation. PPPluro and PPPeruvian Mr. President behind him. Her Dam, Wintercreek's Catriona de Navarre is Medium Silver Grey. Cat's Sire is WC's Navarre (MSG) from Legend's Challenger of KPR (MSG). Lineage includes 5P Royal Inca Legend. Catriona's Dam is our own WC's Sieva (TB) who is out of Peruvian Black Epic from HHHorse Farm. Laoghaire's lineage is solid in the True Black & Silver Grey color line. Laoghaire was bred to Neversummer's US Steel in 2019. He is a beautiful Light Silver Grey. Absolutely stunning! Good density, beautiful consistent crimp and a silky soft handle. He has no spots! WC's Elliott did really well in the 2021 show season. Laoghaire is currently bred to Irish Meadows' Endeavor (TB). I am hoping for more TB! Laoghaire will make a solid breeding female for any ranch who is looking to expand their True Black and Silver Grey breeding program.
