Just in time for the 2023 breeding season we have listed one of our main herdsires, Sunnyhill's Prince for sale. If you are looking to add grey to your breeding program he is an excellent producer of grey. He has produced grey 83% of time when bred to grey and 52% of the time when bred to non grey. Prince has been our top male for 3 years and has criated some amazing greys and black crias including 1 stunning modern grey male. Of his 32 crias 25 are either grey or black. 10 grey males 9 grey females 3 black males 3 black females. When bred to grey Prince produced 6 greys and 1 non grey When bred to any colour other than grey, Prince produced 13 greys, 6 blacks and 6 non greys His offspring are carrying on the grey and black. Three grey daughters all bred to the same grey male resulted in 2 grey crias and 1 true black cria. Prince is a stunning silver grey male with a thick black band around his middle. His fibre has crimp and shine, we have created some beautiful shawls from his fibre. He has great conformation, even temperament which has been passed on to his crias. He will also add staple length and fleece weight to your breeding program. He is an experienced breeder, not aggressive but gets the job done. Prince is 7 years old and is listed for $5,000. If you think Prince would be a good fit for your breeding program or have any questions please contact Doug at [email protected]

Sweat Pea's latest cria is wonderful! Lancelot's Legacy is beautiful rose grey on the outside but lots of silver grey underneath, much like his mom. Sweet Pea looks like a rose grey but underneath she is a silver grey. She has the most wonderful facial markings, dark around the eyes; the dark around her mouth makes it appear as if she is smiling. Sweet Pea has tiny blue heart shapes at the bottom of her eyes. Sweet Pea was quite the little fibre monster! At 8 months old her fibre was over 5" long. Her fibre has medium crimp and is very fine. Her second and third year fibre were just as fine. Sweet Pea is very easy going, she won't push her way in for pellets. We have taken her out to markets and she is always very curious as to what is going on there. We bred her to our dark silver grey, Lance for an Aug. 2016 cria, they produced a crimpy light fawn female - Sweetness. We were so pleased with the outcome that we rebred this couple for a July 2017 cria. We loved this pair - Lancelot's Legacy is a stunning silver grey with rose grey spots. This year's cria is a brown male, sired by our silver grey herdsire - Prince. For more information on the scarf made from Sweet Pea's fibre visit Laslyn Alpaca - Sweet Pea's Scarf.

Description

Griffin has beautiful fibre, I was thrilled to see how dark he was once the cria fleece was gone, and I love the two tones. Griffin has correct conformation and is easy going. His dam Sweet Pea is a lovely rose grey and his sire is Prince a medium silver grey with a black belly band.
