So excited to get this guy and see what he can produce with my highly spotted grey girls. Possibly a harlie? Spellbound's sire is 3x Futurity Herdsire of the Year, NeverSummer's US Steel, who passes on brightness, fineness and soft silky handle to his offspring. His paternal grandsire is none other than 15x Champion and 2x Judges' Choice winner, Aussie .38 Special! His maternal grandsire is NeverSummer's Spellbound, a super dense, typey, deep maroon Silver Charm son. NeverSummer's Spellbound was a SWRAS Color Champion and a 2nd Place Futurity winner. His fleece had a lovely, soft handle and everyone who put their hands on him would comment on it. Estates Spellbound is a proven male with two cria on the ground in 2019. His first cria was a lovely true black female out of a black mom. His second cria was a beautiful medium silver grey female out of a grey mom. I bred him to my Rockford daughter in 2021, and had a confirmed pregnancy, but unfortunately, the little grey female cria aborted with a severely twisted umbilical cord at 8.5 months. As I am retiring from breeding, this guy needs a new job. He has a very easy going personality and is easy to handle.

Description

Rhapsody is a large silver grey daughter of the infamous Aussie Rockford. Great mom with plenty of milk and delivers easily. Great foundation female. At 18 months, she was a whopping 150 lbs, with crimpy, fine dense fleece. She took a blue ribbon in yearling greys at the 2008 Heart of the Valley show, and third in a competitive class at the 2008 CABA show. Rhapsody has produced multiple ribbon winners, including an amazing harlequin boy, Shock and Awe, now at Tuscany Valley Alpacas. Rhapsody had a gorgeous little boy on April 25, 2020. A bit small, but growing like a weed on mom's rich milk. Dad is Grand River Marquis, one of Bluebonnet Hills's fabulous grey boys. He looks light silver grey now, but his white face and bib are evident. What a change. This boy has turned into an indefinite light, with dark hairs sprinkled all over his body. Grey markings on his ears and eyes, and spots of grey. Rhapsody was bred to my new, highly spotted boy, Spellbound, hoping for a harlie. But bad luck struck, and she lost the little gray girl to a twisted umbilical cord. We will try again! Rhapsody deserves one last cria to mother.
