HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 32705416DOB: 8/23/201311 yrs
From the moment he was born, we knew this boy was exceptional. His bright, dark rose gray fleece is fine, full of character, with great crimp and architecture. In his first show at North American, as an unshorn cria, he took the blue against some pretty stiff competition. Silver Lining has gone on to win 13 championships and 17 blue ribbons and he hasn't finished yet! Great bloodlines, great fleece and a strong, solid build -- watch for this boy -- he is truly something special. His sire is Crystal Spartan, the 2010 Brown Huacaya Male Futurity Color Champion who has taken five other top Championship banners. His dam, Quarry Ridge Marimba, is a Champion herself and has produced champion offspring. Silver Lining has inherited outstanding characteristics from outstanding parents. Silver-Lining has five crias on the ground and more on the way this fall. Two are modern rose gray and other three are true black. Silver Lining will be standing stud at Quarry Ridge Alpacas in Salem, NY from June 1 to October 30 and at Clover Bottom Alpaca Ranch in Clover Bottom, MO from November 1 to May 30. Proudly co-owned with Quarry Ridge Alpacas and Faraway Farm Alpacas in New York.

Bred to Silver- Lining

Description

Just one look, that’s all it took and Fair Deal was the first girl we chose for our foundation herd. Fair Deal is simply gorgeous – a strong frame covered with beautiful buttery soft rose grey fleece. She has excellent conformation with fine fleece and consistent architecture to boot. It wasn’t long before we learned that we really loved the lineage and offspring of Fair Deal. Our second choice was – unbeknownst to us – one of Fair Deal’s crias, now an adult (Fair Lady) a light fawn female. We are also thrilled with Fair Deal’s other two crias born on our farm – a beautiful dark grey cria and true black - both females. All of her offspring and their offspring have carried onto their crias the beautiful dark mascara/eye-lined eyes of Fair Deal. When bred to beige, Fair Deal produced a light fawn and a true black. When bred to black, she produced a grey. All three are stunning alpacas. But what else could you expect from Fair Deal when she carries the solid-rock bloodlines of such alpaca greats as CPeruvian Silvio and CPeruvian Silvia. This time, we bred Fair Deal to 13X Champion Spartan's Silver- Lining. This should be an outstanding cria and we will be happy to keep Fair Deal in our foundation herd and her cria if she does not sell.
