SoCal Armani's Primo combines the award winning genetics of Light Fawn DDF Accoyo Armani (known for his fineness and density), with the lovely conformation of his Light Fawn dam, Winter's Primavera. Both sire and dam pass on excellent substance of bone. This boy is phenotypically white, but very likely will pass on color, given his Light Fawn parents. Primo has a pleasant personality, and shows off his fine, lustrous fleece with excellent substance of lock on a large, balanced frame. He has uniform, well-defined, penciled locking and an elegant conformation. Add to this exceptional luster, and you begin to see the picture. His first time in the ring, he came home with a blue ribbon--his second showing brought him a Reserve Color Championship! Primo has moved to his new digs at Alpacas of Marin north of San Francisco.

Lauca was declared the best cria of the season by an experienced evaluator of alpacas. She is a very feminine girl with perfect conformation--good bone and balance, and bright white fleece with medium frequency crimp. She has an incredibly heavy fleece, and has been in the top 1% EPD for fleece weight for 6 years and counting... Her 2019 cria scored 20 out of 20 points for fleece weight in the 2020 National Fleece Show, proof that this is a heritable trait! She is a wonderful mother for her cria this year--lots of milk and her daughter grew rapidly! All of Lauca's crias are big--each has been 21 lbs or more at birth and gain around a pound a day. She has had no problems with her births--her first took a while (2 hrs) but was uncomplicated. To be honest, we missed her next 2 births--we came out to the barnyard and she presented us with a healthy, standing cria! Lauca is a calm, dignified lady, unafraid of humans and will eat out of your hand. Lauca comes with a breeding. We'd definitely suggest a re-breed to our champion Matrix grandson, Snowmass Cold Cash, who brings incredible fineness and uniformity of micron to the mix. Her last cria by Cold Cash, Chungara, is gorgeous! Lauca is at our Marin County farm in the North San Francisco Bay area.

Description

Diva is one of those very rare alpacas--a "hua-suri". Her dam is our prized white huacaya female, Lauca, who is in the top 1% EPD each year for fleece weight. Her sire is....well, we don't know who her sire is, but he's a suri! So, she is phenotypically a suri (suri is dominant) but has the softness and a bit of crimp of a huacaya. She is beige in color, and when she was young her ears were ligth fawn. I don't see that anymore, but thought I'd mention it. And she is dense! Her raw fleece is snapped up by the hand spinners each year--for a pretty price, I might add. There is no reason that Diva can't breed, and I expect she would be a very good mother. Bred to a huacaya, she has a 50% chance of producing a huacaya. Bred to suri she will produce suri. Diva is on our farm at Alpacas of Marin
