PHA Accoyo Zagot

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 30911383DOB: 8/15/200717 yrs
Elite, rare & colored full Accoyo genetics comprise our newest herdsire, Accoyo Zagot, who has his first confirmed pregnancies. At his very first fleece show, Zagot earned a blue ribbon (out of 7) and a COLOR CHAMPIONSHIP in lights! He also just took a blue in halter at the NJ Alpaca Show. Elite - Zagot is a powerhouse of Accoyo genetics. He is a cross of 2 of the best Accoyo parents out there. His sire is the recently deceased El Nino, considered by many to be the best son of Caligula. El Nino was described by a prominent judge as "the perfect alpaca" and took the coveted title of All American Alpaca Futurity Herdsire of the Year in 05. Zagot's dam is Astillero, a 95 import who has clearly produced some of the best full Accoyos in this country - a full brother to Zagot, Francisco (4 time champion),Stratosphere (5 Blues), & Armando who stands stud at Hilltop Alpacas. Zagot's sire & dam have both had a tremendous influence on the national herd. We are anxious for Zagot to have such an influence on our own herd. Rare - Zagot's bloodlines are about as rare as they come. He is a medium fawn full Accoyo which is rare enough. He is the last in his maternal bloodline. His dam died when Zaggot was only 2 months old. His sire, El Nino, died just months ago. Zagot's heritage simply can't be duplicated. Zagot is 1 of only 4 fawn full Accoyos that El Nino produced. Color - There are a very, very small # of fawn full Accoyos out there to begin with. Zagot is a fawn out of 2 of the best white Accoyos available in this country. His sire has produced several dark brown & a true black cria & his dam has produced 2 cria from different sires that have thrown black cria. With Zagot's dark gums and nails, he has a darn good chance of producing dark cria himself. We quite simply are thrilled to have him on our farm. His first cria here at Ideuma Creek have amazing fleece. He sired a bright, crimpy, uniform full Accoyo fawn girl, Accoyo Divinity, that we can't wait to show and our most recent addition to our herd, Peruvian Alexandra who has crimpy-beyond-belief fleece! PHA Accoyo Zagot is proudly co-owned with our good friends, Kevin & Martha Cady of Gentle Breeze Alpacas. His breeding fee is for a limited # of outside breedings.

UPDATE - at Cady's very first fleece show, she earned a blue ribbon, & a reserve color championship. Her fineness & handle score was an impressive 19.5 / 20! The judge, Ken Hibbits, loved her fleece & commented, "Great fineness/handle, good crimp & character" Accoyo Cadence, Cady for short, is the result of very careful selection & thoughtful breeding. We purchased Cady's dam, Accoyo Ascension, when she was just a juvenile. Based on her breeding (a Michaelangelo daughter) & on the bundling soft crimp she was already exhibiting, we were confident she would be a good match for our herdsire, Accoyo Invasion who at the time was winning championship after championship in both halter a&fleece. We were correct with our thoughts on Ascension. She went on to be a multi-champion and earn 7 blue ribbons for us. Her micron statistics continue to be impressive. Cady is Ascension's first cria. We couldn't be happier. She is a medium fawn, consistent girl with absolutely brilliant fleece. Three of her paternal siblings have already won the best brightness award, and we would be surprised if Cady doesn't earn this accolade herself. She glows with bundling, zipper crimp and great density. Consistent is her middle name - she is consistent in color, in crimp (through her neck, blanket, legs and tail) and shine. Cady has a strong, typey build with great coverage. She simply looks incredible, and we are darn proud to have made her here at our farm. Cady had her very first cria in 2013, and she's proven herself as an excellent mom - easy birth, very attentive and tons of milk, and her first cria, Accoyo Infinity, is beautiful! Cady continues to give us the most gorgeous cria. Last year we line-bred to her to our El Nino son, Accoyo Zagot, a champion. We were so pleased with the result that we rebred her to Zagot for her 2016 cria due in mid July.
