Preciosa received 1st Place Produce-of-Dam at Alpacapalooza 2007, and 3rd Place Produce-of-Dam at the 2007 AWE. Juneau has a wonderful presence, tight uniform crimp, and a gorgeous head. She was referred to by Charlene Friedman at Alpacapalooza 2006 as "elegant". Her follicle count is 61 follicles per SQ MM, with an S/P ratio of 10.8 to 1, and secondary fibers averaging 20.1 microns. Starlite, Juneau's half-sister, has a follicle count of 84.75 per SQ MM! Show Career/Judge's Comments: Juneau took 1st Place at IAO 2007 in the fawn color division judged by Dr. Julio Sumar, as well as the Grand Color Championship: "She is an impressive animal!" Description

Congratulations and thank you to Dianna Herschend of Olympic Ranch for her purchase of Aleutian Eagle Patagonia's Arctica and her 2021 male! ALEUTIAN EAGLE PATAGONIA'S ARCTICA Arctica is out of our multiple award-winning Juneau and Amancio. This combination also produced 12x champion, Arctic Rose, and Arctica is the only full sibling to Arctic Rose. Arctica was assessed by Judge Amanda Vandenbosch as an A- quality with "excellent fineness and soft handle" along with "uniformity of micron. Arctica's sire, Amancio is closely related to Nishio, one of Patagonia's top herdsire. Nishio was the 2004 All-American Herdsire of the Year, and the 2007 Reserve Herdsire of the Year. Amancio's sire, Kaspa, is a 6-time grey champion and one of Patagonia's restricted herdsires. Amancio's fleece is bright, extremely dense, and exhibits a consistent high frequency crimp. 5x Champion and 8x Produce of Dam Winner, Patagonia Juneau (Arctica's dam) is one of the true matriarchs of the Patagonia genetics line and provides a firm foundation for the herd for lovely fineness. Juneau's crias always make our show string. This is one girl we are very excited about! Her fineness and density are a repeat of her dam. Offspring: In 2016, Arctica gave us a beautiful white female sired by R&R Trojan. Trojan, an Oliver Twist son, comes from Canadian Judge Ruth Elvestad’s dynamic breeding program with emphasis on not only fineness, but density as well! Her daughter, Estates Aleutian Amoretto brought home 2nd Place ribbons from the AOA National Show & California Classic Shows in 2017. In 2017, Arctica had a handsome bay black male sired by our magnificent champion producer, Snowmass Pure Passion. Her son recently won Reserve Champion and 1st Place at the 2019 Houston Livestock Show! In 2018, Arctica gave birth to a good-looking white male. In 2020, Arctica presented us with a lovely light fawn female sired by our gorgeous light fawn 8x Champion & multi–Blue Ribbon Winner, Estates Legendary Picasso.
