Buccaneer is finally retired from showing and loves being a full time stud! We ended his show career on a high note which was due to his fleece is retaining it's amazing quality and retaining it's fineness! Buccaneer also has a powerful frame and that power continues into the fleece. He is also proving his strength in being a breeding male by the high quality offspring he is producing! This is the true black herdsire to check out and with offspring on the ground and winning ribbons and championships in the shows what more could you want! The Buccaneer is definately pleasing us with his offspring as he is passing on his fineness, excellent bone and gorgeous head! He has also been correcting conformation issues which is one of the hardest things to correct. He is simply amazing...we do believe that the reason he is maintaining his fineness is due to his dam, Hana. We did a Histogram on her 2010 fleece, which would make her 10 years old, and it was still holding a 21 micron. Truly Incredible! Buccaneer has one of the best show records for a True Black, with 13 banner (8 of those as an adult) he has proven that he is a top of the line male and now he is proving it again with his offspring! I never would have dreamed he would become as special as he has to me, and many others. When we made our trip out to the 2015 Futurity it was with high hopes that he would do well because I was going though a difficult time of my life and really needed something positive to happen and show me that I was headed in the right direction with my alpaca farm. So with the help of some very good friend,s we made our way to the Futurity and low and behold, he won the Black Championship. And it has been uphill since then! So he is more than a gorgeous hunk of a male who is producing amazing offspring, he has been my heart and hope of a successful future and has given me the incentive and strength to keep on doing what we are doing! Blackbeard has a simply gorgeous head, an incredibly fine, dense fleece with amazing architecture, and talk about coverage everywhere, Wow! Add all that to a male with huge bone and a strong frame and you have yourself a truly unique herdsire. And the icing on the cake is his gentle personality as he is extremely easy to handle and work with even since he has been breeding. Blackbeard is passing on these traits to his offspring in a very consistent manner when paired with any female so far. A good friend used referred to him as an "Impact Male" due to him putting his stamp on all of his cria.
