A beautiful 44 month old LSG fleece at 20 microns! We were really blown away when we first saw this young male. His fleece is what anyone breeding for fine fleece is looking for. He has a perfectly spotless fleece that actually looks Rose Gray in some light and Silver Gray in others. Carderock has won Fleece Championships 2 years in a row at AOBA Nationals and just this March 2014 at the AOA World Fleece Show. As a 2 year old he is still exhibiting extremely fine fleece with amazing staple length. Carderock is proving that gray is a color he can reproduce. After much consideration and the production of 2 very nice Cria, we have decided to take Fiona out of our breeding program and are looking for a suitable pet home for her. While she can have babies with no problem, the 6 months of nursing takes a toll on her every time. Her black fleece is still fine and quite usable. We think she would be great at a fiber home where breeding was not an option. Fiona is a true black girl from a pairing of 2 gorgeous gray parents. Fiona is a small framed girl with a friendly disposition and a fine micron fleece. She was bred in the fall of 2013 to to Painted Spring's Corado who has amazing fleece and also has a smaller build. She easily delivered a male cria in October 2014. His fleece is impressive. She has proven herself as a capable mother. She is easy to handle and her fiber quality has remained excellent with a micron in the low 20's. Her fall 2016 cria out of Carderock was a lovely deep mahogany female.
