HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 30590557DOB: 8/21/200618 yrs
We named him "Crown Prince" for a reason. We believe this guy could be the heir apparent to his legendary sire, Snowmass Casanova. Out of our black AOBA Res. Color Champion, Boadicea, he has the fiber and conformation to make heads turn. His dam Boadicea was the queen of the show circuit in 2000 with folks waiting at the ring to purchase her as she won yet another blue ribbon. We made the decision to keep her as part of our foundation stock. She has rewarded that decision time and time again with Champion cria. She is dam to Highland Oberon, a Reserve Color Champion and multiple blue ribbon winner (including AOBA), The Scotsman, a black Reserve Color Champion and multiple blue ribbon winner, and Highland Boudica, a multiple Color Champion. Crown Prince's first fleece sample came back as AFD 17.7; SD 3.8; CV 21.5; %>30 0.9....YES, A GRAY FLEECE. Crown Prince has combined the best of his dam and sire to be an example of the fineness, density, crimp, and conformation that is making him in demand even as he just starts his breeding career. He began last Fall's show season off with a bang! At the Empire Extravaganza he placed second to the Reserve Color Champ with the judge stating he had the finest fleece in the class. At the No. Illinois Alpaca Show, Crown Prince was awarded the Blue Ribbon in his class AND the Color Championship. Judge Jill MacLeod took very little time to select him as Champion. Crown Prince is consistently rewarded for his fine fleece that shows good staple length, crimp and density. We believe that he is certainly one of the finest Peruvian gray males on the East Coast. With confirmed pregnancies from the summer, this is the time to add Crown Prince's excellent genetics, conformation, and fiber to your herdsire options. Please contact us for further details. What a cute little girl & what a surprise. Out of a DB dam & MF sire, how did we get this gorgeous DSG (with DB spots!) Fanci stands proudly on extremely straight legs and has the fine fiber of her dam. We were so pleased with her that we bred her parents together again. Don't miss this stunning little girl. Fanci took a first at PAOBA 2008 for DSG yearlings. Comments included correctness of her conformation and uniformity of her fine fleece. May 09 - Fanci had her first cria. A beautiful MSG boy out of our fine herdsire Silver Blade II. Not only did she produce an outstanding cria, but she has adopted an orphaned cria born just a few days after hers. Being a first time mom, we are so proud that she has shown the patience to let us help introduce this second cria to her. Fanci is worth her weight in gold! Fanci's second cria is out of Cassanova's Peruvian Crown Prince, a true black beauty. Spring 2013 Med Silver Gray male. Spots all over - just adorable!

4X Champion / Reserve Champion Our beloved Carderock passed away in October 2020 of Cancer. He has many beautiful cria that carry on his lovely fleece traits. See our Sambuca who is now breeding and brings the best of the gray and black into the mix. 2015 Fiber Stats are now in! Virtually no change since last year. A beautiful 44 month old LSG fleece at 20 microns! We were really blown away when we first saw this young male. His fleece is what anyone breeding for fine fleece is looking for. He has a perfectly spotless fleece that actually looks Rose Gray in some light and Silver Gray in others. Carderock has won Fleece Championships 2 years in a row at AOBA Nationals and just this March 2014 at the AOA World Fleece Show. As a 2 year old he is still exhibiting extremely fine fleece with amazing staple length. Carderock is proving that gray is a color he can reproduce. Out of his first 8 cria, only one was not some shade of gray. Here is a link to his "baby" page. Carderock Cria We proudly co-own Carderock with Alpacas of York. He is currently standing stud in York PA. Give us a call to see this amazing male. Description

After much consideration and the production of 2 very nice Cria, we have decided to take Fiona out of our breeding program and are looking for a suitable pet home for her. While she can have babies with no problem, the 6 months of nursing takes a toll on her every time. Her black fleece is still fine and quite usable. We think she would be great at a fiber home where breeding was not an option. Fiona is a true black girl from a pairing of 2 gorgeous gray parents. Fiona is a small framed girl with a friendly disposition and a fine micron fleece. She was bred in the fall of 2013 to to Painted Spring's Corado who has amazing fleece and also has a smaller build. She easily delivered a male cria in October 2014. His fleece is impressive. She has proven herself as a capable mother. She is easy to handle and her fiber quality has remained excellent with a micron in the low 20's. Her fall 2016 cria out of Carderock was a lovely deep mahogany female.
