Taddeo is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and has just gotten better and better with time! We are obsessed with the fleece of this herdsire who was a RESERVE CHAMPION in white at 9 months, 15 months, and 21 months, and is also a halter COLOR CHAMPION and MAPACA Fleece JUDGES' CHOICE winner! Taddeo's fleece is GORGEOUS with great density, exquisite architecture, small bundles, and a buttery, soft hand that I can't stop touching and looking at nightly! "Taddeo" means "praised" and "desired" and he does his moniker proud. Taddeo's first cria, Morning SKY's Taddeo's Piccolo, is square, incredibly dense, and has volumes of bright white fleece with teeny, tiny bundles that earned her a 2nd place at the 2016 Buckeye Alpaca Show, standing over the cria of a high ticket herdsire. His subsequent crias are also beauties - and female! Morning SKY's Elena placed 3rd at the 2016 AOA National Show. This handsome male is sired by multiple Champion, Alpaca Palace's Houdini, and his dam, Morning SKY's Grande Alera, is a multiple ribbon winner by Grand Alero, a 3/4 Accoyo Grand Master son. The combination of these genetics is what gives Taddeo such tremendous density, consistent and exceptional fleece character from topknot to tail to toe, soft handle and strong conformation. Taddeo was awarded his FIRST RESERVE CHAMPION banner at 9 months of age and his SECOND RESERVE banner at the 2012 MABA Alpaca Celebration in another large class! (Color went to a 6 year old male.) This male has fineness, density, a buttery handle to his fleece and gorgeous crimp. A THIRD RESERVE CHAMPION banner was awarded to Taddeo at the 2013 Buckeye Alpaca Show, along with WINNING the JUNIOR HERDSIRE class where the three judges called his fleece "gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!" COLOR CHAMPION at the 2013 PAOBA Breeder's Showcase; we are thrilled! Judge Kevin O'Leary examined Taddeo's fleece everywhere from front to back, clear down to his belly and down to his knees and found the outstanding character to be the same all the way across and down along with great density and fineness. He is a white to be watched (and an outstanding breeding choice if you are looking for excellence.) JUDGES' CHOICE in the large 2013 MAPACA fleece show for Best Brightness; his dam, Alera, won the same award in 2007! Taddeo also placed 1st in his large halter class at the 2013 MAPACA Jubilee. Taddeo also garnered a 2nd place ribbon at the 2015 AOA National Fleece Conference with his third fleece. Taddeo's offspring have great density and his buttery hand. Pin him to your "Herdsires to Use" Pinterest board and contact Morning SKY Farm to book a breeding!

Maintaining fineness!

We were pleased to have added Silvercloud Farm's Danielle to our foundation herd here at Morning SKY Farm! Along with great conformation and calm temperament, Danielle exhibited a luxuriously soft and dense fleece, long staple length, and beautiful bundling, and her offspring have proved the same. Her fineness was characterized in the fleeces of the females in her lineage including her dam, ScF Eva, whose fiber stats at age 3 were 21.6 micron, SD 3.9 and CV 18.3. Her grand dam, PCA Santolina - a Hemingway daughter - also carried very fine fleece of 20 microns at age 6! Danielle's sire is Evander, who has put numerous knock-out, award winning progeny on the ground and into the show ring! Along with Evander, her background includes such notables as Hemingway, Magnum Gold, Altiplano Gold, and origins from the Alianza, Sollocota, and Macusani. Danielle effortlessly delivered her first cria - a strong, white girl with lovely fleece and beautiful conformation out of ScF Mint D'Or, an award winning El Nino son and Caligula grandson, on September 14th, 2008. Her cria, Morning Sky's Mint's Sweet Thing ("Sweetie") also carries the wonderfully calm temperament of her sire and dam! We expect both of these girls to continue passing on their conformation and fleece qualities for generations to come! Danielle's 2010 cria arrived on Mother's Day - a beige male by multiple champion Accoyo Craftsman. Design is solid in so many ways...square, big boned, straight legs, and endless curls of fleece from the top of his head down to his belly and covering his legs. He became a Color Champion with a fleece that is holding at 17.8 microns at his 4th shearing! Design was followed in 2011 by multiple blue ribbon winner, Morning SKY's Lenape, by Lancaster's Highland Chieftain. Lenape carries a very fine fleece, just like her dam - 16.7 microns as of her first shearing. Danielle's 2012 cria was by our own herdsire, Accoyo Angelis. Morning SKY's Legna (pronounced LAY-na; Angel spelled backwards) is yet another in an exciting string of offspring being produced by Angel! Legna has the same traits that Angel stamped on each offspring - solid bone, great conformation, and soft, dense volumes of fleece! We have not been disappointed yet! Danielle's July 2015 breeding to our white Color Champion, three time Reserve Champion and Fleece Judges' Choice winner, Morning SKY's Taddeo, produced a gorgeous beige female, Morning SKY's Elena, with great conformation and long, crimpy fleece with a high degree of brightness!

Description

Beautiful daughter of our fine and extremely dense champion and Judges' Choice herdsire, Morning SKY's Taddeo and our fine dam, Silvercloud Farm's Danielle. Elena shows the best of both parents with her impressive fleece, soft hand and calm temperament. She was awarded a third place ribbon at the 2016 AOA National Show, another proud result of our breeding program. Elena's first cria, Morning SKY's Nazca, is our Taddeo line crossed with our late full Accoyo herdsire, Angelis. This produced a white male who is loaded with heavy cutting fleece that is blindingly bright and reminiscent of that of his grand sire, Morning SKY's Taddeo, and his great grand dam, Morning SKY's Grand Alera - both winners of Judges' Choice banners for Best Brightness at large MAPACA fleece shows. Elena had a textbook birth of a beautiful, light brown female cria on May 29, 2023 by Morning SKY’s Paulina’s Raku, son of two Judges’ Choice grey parents. Morning SKY's Raku's Mercer has curly fleece and has been strong from the get go! Her fleece looks promising and we'll be anxious to see how it develops after shearing. If it's anything like that of her sire and dam, we'll be even more excited about her. A breed back is definitely in order!
