Optimus Prime, or "Prime" around the farm, is a young male that has moved to the top of our "go to" breeding males. We knew when we matched our Champion dam Amalaya to Futurity/AOBA/IAO Champion PC Running Late the outcome could be something very special. This pairing did not disappoint when we received an ultra-fine, dense, light fawn male. Prime is a compact male with a beautiful, high energy fleece. He has a high frequency, high amplitude crimp that is carried from his top knot down to his legs. When his fleece is opened up it reveals organized bundling and an excellent staple length at over 4". His first years histogram speaks for itself and his second years is equally as impressive. His fleece continues to maintain elite fineness, consistency of micron and character throughout the entire blanket, along with above average density. His EPD stats have him ranked : Top 2% for AFD and SF Top 4% for SDAFD He was only shown once in 2012. As the youngest male in the group, he placed a respectable 5th out of 10 alpacas in the class. Judge Wade Gease praised his level of fineness, consistency of character and brightness throughout the fleece, but he was small and stated he needed to mature. By the end of summer he had gained over 20lbs and caught up with the other juvenile males. Primes babies are hitting the ground with gusto this year. He has been bred to everything from white to grey and colors in between. He is letting the dams color come through every time! Every one of his babies have excellent conformation eye popping shine to the fleece and lots of curls.

"Rosie" is a very special production dam that we are consigning for Ron and Cheryl Smith of Paintbrush Alpacas. This girl is well-mannered, easy to deal with, and is maintaining a very fine and dense fleece. Excellent character throughout the fleece, good staple length, and great handle. She's a complete package dam. Rosie was shown by Paintbrush in 2009, taking a First and Championship at Southwest Regional and a First in the Alpaca Mania Spin-off. Update: As my new brother-in-law would say "Wholly Wow"! Rosie delivered arguably our best colored cria to date. This medium-fawn female is rivaling our best white cria's in density and character. Yes she's young, but what an amazing start!! This little female is sporting good density, eye popping crimp and bundling and she is very, very fine. She is carrying this fleece on a stout, compact frame and has full coverage. We love this combo so much Rosie has been re-bred to Prime for a 2017 cria. Cinder has been weened. She is now listed separately. Update: Rosie delivered a very cute light brown female cria. This will be one to watch!

Description

Cinja is a beautiful bay black female that will be ready for her maiden breeding in 2017. She is carrying a bright, very fine fleece with wonderful handle. She has excellent staple length, good coverage and bundles galore. Our pictures do not due justice to how lovely her fleece is! If I was going to pick on Cinja I'd say she could use a little more density. Her Sire has maintained excellent fineness and his EPD #'s are not too shabby at all! For more information on him or Cinja's dam, click the links above. Prime's EPD #'s are also public on the AOA website. We are working very hard to sell the rest of our herd and are willing to entertain all reasonable offers. We have fleece samples available if you're interested - just let us know. Thanks for looking and happy holidays! **Note** Cinja's histogram is attached however, it incorrectly has the name Cinder on the Yocolm report. That was our error - the histogram is most definitely Cinjas. Cinder is Rosie's 2016 cria and in our haste we entered the wrong name.
