We have been looking for a new addition to our appaloosa line-up, and when we found Confetti, it was time to make a move. He'll be arriving in Virginia soon and we are hoping he will be ready to settle some girls in the spring. Take a look at his cria photo, and tell us you wouldn't want a pasture full of cuties like that. Along with Bo and Speks, we think we have a super line-up of appy herdsires, and we picture one day having nothing but appaloosa adults making up the whole breeding herd. Here is the description from his breeder: "Confetti, what can I say.... he is ADORABLE. He is every color on the chart, not one pattern, sparkled and speckled everywhere - even his nose and ears! WOW. He is such an eye catcher. He is also perfectly conformed, with a stocky build and heavy bone. His ears are fluffy and fiber covers him to his toes in very DENSE lush multicolored softness. He is a true American beauty and honestly I have never seen an alpaca as handsome as this one." Stay tune for more photos and a longer description.

Enchanted Hill Yasbo

HuacayaOpen (Female)Beige, Medium Fawn
AOA# 31197632DOB: 6/29/201014 yrs
This could well be the nicest cria we've ever had born at Enchanted Hill. Yasbo has superb conformation, along with fine, crimpy, well-bundled fiber. She is covered head to toe and has those little short, spikey "carrot" ears. On top of this, what a personality! Stand in the barn a minute or two and you'll find someone nibbling at your coat sleeve or shirt tail and when you turn to look, there's the cutest little alpaca you've ever seen. She may dart away and kick up her heels, but she'll be back to check you out. Yasbo's pedigree is filled with well-known animals, and their genes have combined superbly to give us this little fibrous darling. The outstanding ancestors include: El Moustachio, Peruvian Platinum, NGG Lional, Pperuvian Victor, Peruvain Bueno, and Acero Marka's Rockamundo. No wonder this little girl has it all!

Description

Appy-Go-Lucky, or "Lucky, is a wildly spotted appaloosa whose parents are both appaloosas. Until just a few years ago, appaloosas were so rare that an appaloosa-to-appaloosa breeding was unheard of. Part of this was due to the misunderstanding of the appaloosa gene which had been called a recessive, a partial dominant, an incomplete dominant, or even an "unknown". We have learned much about the appaloosa gene(s)... and this guy has a pedigree packed with those that are most expressive and colorFULL. Lucky is the perfect "next generation" for those looking to produce wildly expressed appaloosas.
