Half-Interest Now Available! As we refine our herdsire list, we’ve made the hard decision to let our share of ownership go in 7X Champion, six year old grey stud, Ambrose of Milan. We now have his genetics infused solidly in our herd going forward through his multiple daughters and a future stud replacement. It’s now time to let him keep working his magic for someone else’s herd. With his daughters now being old enough to breed, we’re excited to see what his next generation will produce! Ambrose is a solidly built male with a boxy frame and stout build. He is dense, dense, dense and has sired some excellent offspring for us across a wide variety of dams, providing us rose and silver greys, beautiful fawns, and some excellent browns. With 12 of his daughters now folded back into our program, we’re ready to let him do the same for you while we work on the daughters and the next generation. Ambrose has done a fabulous job of building our foundation herd and his legacy will continue long and strong at Epic Alpacas. Ambrose is the complete package - a fantastic rose grey stud who has 7 Championships under his belt from highly competitive shows, beating a Futurity Champ and many other multiple banner winners! He retired from his show run and settled into his breeding career, with his first cria hitting the ground in Fall of 2015. Ambrose is 5th generation grey out of two grey parents and is packed with grey genetics. His sire, ATV Adonnis was a legend in his own time, taking 14 banners until his untimely death in March 2015. He leaves behind a spectacular legacy of cria that have gone on to be color champions and blue ribbon winners in their own right. Adonnis passed along everything he had when he sired this boy - fineness, crimp, density, phenotype, coverage, and more. Joie de Vivre (French for "Joy of Life") is out of the incomparable Hannahruh, one of the best grey dams in the Country, and sired by the equally incomparable Mile High The Reverend Mister Black! Joie de Vivre's fleece is simply exquisite. She has an elite fleece with tight bundling and a high frequency crimp style. She has a very soft handle and good staple length. She has excellent conformation and bite, with the elegant presence of her dam. She is a big girl with great bone. Joie de Vivre is easy to handle and a joy to show. She has placed very well at every show she has been in, with every judge commenting on the nice handle of her fleece. She is a proven dam with lots of milk, and an attentive mom. In October 2017, Joie de Vivre delivered an out-of-this-world grey female cria, sired our 10x Grey Herdsire, Wilkinson! We knew this combination was going to rock, and boy did it ever! Wilkinson is the back-to-back National Color Champion, taking the highest grey male honors at AOA in both 2015 and 2016! Most recently, as a 3.5 year old, he took the Color Championship at the 2016 Alpaca Breeders Invitational in a very competitive group of greys, proving that even after having cria on the ground, he's still got it! in 2019, Joie produced a uniquely colored DF female when bred to 23X Champion/2X Judge's Choice, Ringo Cloud, and we look forward to watching her develop!
