We are excited to announce that five out of five black females bred to The Reverend have both produced true black offspring. Here's what a few happy customers have to say about their Reverend's cria: "Hi Sharon, Wanted to let you know that Etta Place had her TRMB cria, yes, a female! She is a gorgeous TB and crimpy little girl! Hope all is well with you. The Reverend sure produced a beautiful baby for me and I could not be happier! Etta is a very good Mother and the baby is absolutely adorable!" Thanks, Roxane Rudick "We had a drop dead gorgeous dark brown baby girl today from The Reverend Mr. Black. I couldn't be happier with her. If you would like I wll email pictures when they are developed." Warm regards, Becky Sproul Thunder Heart Alpaca Ranch "Hi Sharon - I wanted to compliment you on yet another fine offspring of The Reverend. I am SO happy we bred Holli to him to produce our little Moses last year. I updated his picture on AN under foundation herd, but I need to get some more on there. Rick and I sheared him today, and he was just breathtaking. He felt like heaven, and dense! Rick said he'd never seen such complete coverage - like all under his armpits, inside of his back legs, all over his belly, even right up to his testicles and other "business" parts. We love him! We couldn't be more pleased with this little guy!" Hannaruh is, quite simply, one of the best gray females in the country. Just log on to ARI and take a look at her offspring. Every one of her cria has been a Color Champion, award winner, or an exceptional herdsire, including Painted Sky Apres Vous, Aussie Rockford and Aussie Colorado Dillinger. She is the grand-dam of Aussie Guns and Roses and Aussie .38 Special. So, if you are looking for those genetics, this is where they started. She is an amazing producer and I am very fortunate to have in my foundation herd.

Service Sire: Ringo Cloud

2X JC, 23X Champ Son of Orlando Cloud!

Ringo Cloud

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 31158039DOB: 6/24/200915 yrs
Ringo needs little introduction - with 23 Championships and 2 Judges' Choice Awards his quality is indisputable! At 8 months old, Ringo wowed the judge at his first show, the Southern Select in Tennessee. He came in 1st in his class of 14, and went on to win Reserve Championship. That trend continued on for 3 years, winning championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013 before finally retiring to a full-time breeding career. When we selected Ringo to add to our herdsire lineup, we were looking for: -- Superior fleece                             -- Great EPDs -- Great conformation                       -- Grey genetics -- Proven, champion offspring           -- Great personality Ringo brings every one of those aspects to the table. Ringo has shiny, crimpy, dense fleece from nose to toes, and he has the "look at me" presence that sets him apart. Along with his fine, dense fleece, you get great staple length and architecture with high frequency, high amplitude crimp. Then to top it off he has a beautiful head and great proportion and style...and he has a great personality to match! A strong breeder with plenty of "macho" yet he can be put in with young boys and gets along with the other older guys as well. An early histogram for Ringo gave the following in 2009: 16.9 AFD, 4.1 SD, 100% CF. Six plus years later, he posted the following in 2016: 22.9 AFD, 4.9 SD, 91.4% CF and a curvature of 70! Great numbers for a male who already had ~65 cria on the ground! During his show career, he was instrumental in helping his silver grey sire, Orlando Cloud (one of the elite grey males with enormous impact on the grey huacaya breeding world), win Herdsire of the Year at MAPACA in 2013 & 2014 with his back-to-back championships in fawn at those shows. However, none of his accomplishments matter unless he can pass on his excellence! Not only does he post great numbers himself, have a look at his 2017 EPDs! He is solid across the board in expected progeny improvement. To say that Championships run in his blood is an understatement. Check out his relatives: Ringo has produced multiple Champion offspring (24 banners so far) and ribbon winners galore (175+ ribbons so far, including 72 blues) in a variety of colors! Epic Alpacas proudly co-owns Ringo Cloud with Asgard Acres and Alpacas of the Alleghenies.

Description

Joie de Vivre (French for "Joy of Life") is out of the incomparable Hannahruh, one of the best grey dams in the Country, and sired by the equally incomparable Mile High The Reverend Mister Black! Joie de Vivre's fleece is simply exquisite. She has an elite fleece with tight bundling and a high frequency crimp style. She has a very soft handle and good staple length. She has excellent conformation and bite, with the elegant presence of her dam. She is a big girl with great bone. Joie de Vivre is easy to handle and a joy to show. She has placed very well at every show she has been in, with every judge commenting on the nice handle of her fleece. She is a proven dam with lots of milk, and an attentive mom. In October 2017, Joie de Vivre delivered an out-of-this-world grey female cria, sired our 10x Grey Herdsire, Wilkinson! We knew this combination was going to rock, and boy did it ever! Wilkinson is the back-to-back National Color Champion, taking the highest grey male honors at AOA in both 2015 and 2016! Most recently, as a 3.5 year old, he took the Color Championship at the 2016 Alpaca Breeders Invitational in a very competitive group of greys, proving that even after having cria on the ground, he's still got it! in 2019, Joie produced a uniquely colored DF female when bred to 23X Champion/2X Judge's Choice, Ringo Cloud, and we look forward to watching her develop! Such a dense, fine, soft fleece.
