Cinders is the 2016 and 2017 AAA Futurity Dark Herd Sire of the Year and the 2018 Reserve Dark Herd Sire of the Year! He is also a 3 time Herd Sire of the Year for the Medium Breeder Division! Cinders had his first offspring on the ground in the spring of 2012 and his kids showed at the 2013 GWAS in Denver coming out of the ring with blue ribbons and much acclaim. Of the four entered all four won blue ribbons with Mystique going on the win the Reserve Color Championship. With a biopsy density of 67.5 at four years old, this guy has some impressive fiber stats. His first Great Lakes Ranch offspring certainly did not disappoint in 2015 nor in 2016. Needless to say Cinders is a welcome addition to our herd sire line up. Cinders is closed to outside breedings. To date, 29 of Cinder's offspring have won at least one banner and 3 have won Judge's Choice! Here's a list of Cinder's offspring that have won banners: Cache of Halo Jolene of Halo GLR Kilo Gregarious of Halo Zoltar of Halo Jemma of Halo GLR Alpha GLR Avallon GLR Echoe GLR Bronson GLR Abott GLR Aleah Pines Edge Blackrock GLR Cocoa Raynay's Sebastin GLR Jazlen GLR McQueen GLR Black Jewel GLR Alley Cat GLR Tanah GLR Justice GLR Miss Phoebe GLR Ongeleigh MACRES Om Kali Om MMALP Ambiance SPAR's Victory Won SPAR's Mystique Z2F Red Cinders GLR Cazadores Spar's Vicki's Sweetie Pea

Rockstar's Peruvian Paloma

SuriBred (Female)Light Brown
AOA# 20009021DOB: 9/30/200519 yrs
Rockstar's Peruvian Paloma has it all. We purchased her from Mary and Kirk Evans at TPC auction. She is awesome and we are thrilled to have her in our Great Lakes foundation herd. She was shown three times in 2006 and was Color Champion at all three shows ( AAA Futurity, Ohio Buckeye Show & OABA Alpacafest). Her last show before retiring to be shorn and become a mom was the 2007 AAA Futurity, where she won Color Champion, once again. Her first cria was a beautiful rose grey little girl, GLR Picassa, sired by Platinum Marquis bought at the TPC auction by Cindy Harris and Doug Fieg of Alpacas at Windy Hill. GLR Picassa, as a juvenile was 3rd at the 2008 AAA Futurity, 1st and Reserve Grey Female Color Champion at MAPACA 2008, the biggest alpaca show in the nation and 1st and Reserve Grey Female Champion at the 2008 AOBA Nationals in Sandy Utah. Paloma's 2008 cria, GLR Pomona, is a stunning dark brown Synergy daughter, sold to Mike and Janet Wilkins at our Great Lake Classic Sale in 2009. Her 2009 cria is a super greasy, incredibly dense dark copper colored male, with a 15.8 micron count, GLR Picasso, who made his debut at the AAA Futurity and GWAS, at just 6 months old and won Reserve Brown Male Color Champion at both shows. He is co-owned now with Airell and Gretchen Nygaard of Eventyrgaard Alpacas in Sonora, CA. Paloma had another copper colored Shavano son, GLR Pablo in 2010 who was the 2012 Brown Color Champion, now breeding and available for sale. Paloma's Shavano son in 2011, GLR Paulo did well in the show ring in 2012. Her 2013 son GLR Painter, a Rastamon son was purchased by Marty and Mary Raynor and will be standing stud at M and M Alpaca Farm in North Carolina. In 2014 Paloma had a Cinders son GLR Pastor who looks to be turning bay black and coming along nicely. She is bred back to CInders and expecting in September 2015.

Description

GLR Pastor is a Paloma son, sired by Cinders. Paloma over the years has produced a long list of beautiful award winning kids who have gone on to produce some great offspring of their own. Notable cria were, GLR Picassa, Pamona, Picasso, Pablo, and Paulo. Her grand daughter, GLR Amayah, sired by her son Picasso, was named the 2014 Futurity Judges Choice Female, and was the AOA Nationals, AAA Futurity, MAPACA Jubilee and Suri Network Brown Color Champion. Even at Paloma's age now, she shines like a brand new penny and has incredible luster and lock. Cinders, Pastor's dad, had an awesome year in 2014 with his first crop of kids in the show ring, including one of his daughters, SPARS Vicki's Sweetie Pea, a white female, who won the Color Championships at AOA Nationals, AAA Futurity, MAPACA and was named the Judges Choice female at AOA Nationals. Not bad for a black sire. The combination of a pedigree with colored genetics and excellent fiber producing lineages from both Paloma and Cinders ought to make watching how this guy develops over the next year or so a lot of fun.
