The 2006 Futurity Herd Sire of the Year and without a doubt one of the top producing full Accoyo males in the country. Rockstar has amazing cork screw locks with tons of luster. He has perfect conformation, large bone and a great suri head. His cria carry on his beautiful fleece with great coverage and pretty wedge shaped heads. These are full Peruvian 1/2 Accoyo's and full Accoyo's. He has produced 100% suri and usually lets color come through when bred to color. His offspring have won numerous 1st place ribbons and color championships at some of the top shows in the country. Candlewood Rocko won the white suri male color championship at the 2004 AOBA National show with over 90 white males entered! This year Rockstar offspring have won color championships at Futurity, MAPACA and the Ohio Buckeye where he also won Get of Sire.

Dam: Nonie Jax
20009021<--ari-->Dark Brown<--color-->
Nonie Jax is a dark brown daughter of Sweet Foxfire Jax and Dee Dee Jax and the mother of Rockstar's Peruvian Paloma whom we bought from Mary and Kirk Evans at the Private Collection Sale. Nonie's 2006 cria is a full sister to Paloma, Pandora, who was Color Champion at the 2007 MIAF show and 1st at the 2007 OABA show. Nonie gave birth to another stunning brown female on 11/25/2007, GLR Picaiya. Nonie's 2008 female cria, sired by our 5 time White Color Champion 3/4 accoyo Rockstar son, Young Felipe, is the 4th colored female she has had in a row when bred to white. GLR Nasca is bay black and will remain in our herd as a foundation female. Nonie is an incredible producer of color and female crias! <--description-->
Description
Rockstar's Peruvian Paloma has it all. We purchased her from Mary and Kirk Evans at TPC auction. She is awesome and we are thrilled to have her in our Great Lakes foundation herd. She was shown three times in 2006 and was Color Champion at all three shows ( AAA Futurity, Ohio Buckeye Show & OABA Alpacafest).Her last show before retiring to be shorn and become a mom was the 2007 AAA Futurity, where she won Color Champion, once again. Her first cria was a beautiful rose grey little girl, GLR Picassa, sired by Platinum Marquis bought at the TPC auction by Cindy Harris and Doug Fieg of Alpacas at Windy Hill. GLR Picassa, as a juvenile was 3rd at the 2008 AAA Futurity, 1st and Reserve Grey Female Color Champion at MAPACA 2008, the biggest alpaca show in the nation and 1st and Reserve Grey Female Champion at the 2008 AOBA Nationals in Sandy Utah. Paloma's 2008 cria, GLR Pomona, is a stunning dark brown Synergy daughter, sold to Mike and Janet Wilkins at our Great Lake Classic Sale in 2009. Her 2009 cria is a super greasy, incredibly dense dark copper colored male, with a 15.8 micron count, GLR Picasso, who made his debut at the AAA Futurity and GWAS, at just 6 months old and won Reserve Brown Male Color Champion at both shows. He is co-owned now with Airell and Gretchen Nygaard of Eventyrgaard Alpacas in Sonora, CA. Paloma had another copper colored Shavano son, GLR Pablo in 2010 who was the 2012 Brown Color Champion, now breeding and available for sale. Paloma's Shavano son in 2011, GLR Paulo did well in the show ring in 2012. Her 2013 son GLR Painter, a Rastamon son was purchased by Marty and Mary Raynor and will be standing stud at M and M Alpaca Farm in North Carolina. In 2014 Paloma had a Cinders son GLR Pastor who looks to be turning bay black and coming along nicely. She is bred back to CInders and expecting in September 2015.
