The pictures speak for themselves! We bred our multiple champion true black dam, WP Peruvian Minerva, to Jeremiah. We were hoping for a black female cria. We changed our minds when Velasco arrived. We can't wait until he is ready to start his breeding career so we can add his unparalled maternal and paternal genetics to our grey and black breeding program! We are looking for a very special like-minded farm that would like to co-own Velasco. We are sure that he will pass on his amazing fleece and conformation to his crias in black and grey!

We were blown away by this little girl's bundled fleece. She has retained her beautiful fleece in her second year and has shown well at her only 2 shows. Very outgoing personality and loves to talk to you. She's a do anything alpaca. Winning reds, blues and all colors in obstacles, showmanship and even costume. With the lines behind this girl we expect she will become an excellent foundation female. We bred her to Velasco de Alta Vista. We think this male was a perfect match for this lovely girl. ** Pia delivered a gorgeous LF male out of Velasco early in October 2015! ** Pia's second cria was a delightful multi out of the award winning sire Hobby Horse of a Different Color ** Since she has thrown color twice, we are trying her with the super dense Multi colored Dorian son Glacier. ** Pia did it again - her 2019 cria is the spitting image of his multi-colored sire. She's 3 for 3 letting the sire's color/pattern come through. ** 6/22 - Pia delivered an extremely healthy girl. White crimpy fiber and growing fast! (2/24) In 20 years of doing this we've never bred an animal and not written down who and when but it appears that we have in this case. Pia is large and growing larger, we see movement in her belly and there is no way any boy is getting close to her so we are predicting a spring baby. 5/31/24 - I was right - Pia delivered a HUGE 22# white female. I have my suspicions as to the daddy, but time will tell!

Description

Sometimes you know the minute they come out that you've got a good one. Verano was my last baby of the year and sometimes you just end up saving the best for last. His fleece structure and density is fantastic. Verano is ready and looking for love. I think he has what it takes to pass along his superior confirmation and amazing fleece. Oct 18 Update. Verano seems to have settled his first girl in the spring. His first cria hit the ground in May 19 and she may have the best fleece we've seen on the farm. Take advantage of this hidden gem!
