Kazan has always been a large male. At 5 months old he was 92 lbs! His dam Sandina, from Peruvian Imports was a large female and one of our early foundation females. His sire Camilio's Accoyo Kahuna was a desirable stud in his early days. Kahuna a white multi-champion produced some outstanding white offspring. Kazan was part of a winning "Get-of-Sire" trio. His fiber is very white and still quite dense even at his age. He has a small quarter-sized fawn spot just below his mid-line over his left shoulder. Kazan's offspring, both the males and females continue to impress us (12 registered to date.) As a result, we use Kazan's name in the registration of his offspring as often as possible. One of our foundation females, Coconut Crunch (CC), bred to him 5 times and the combination gave us 5 beautiful females. Kazan was all lined up to breed several females this fall, however, now that we are downsizing he will need to wait for anther opportunity. In the meantime, he is a great "spit-tester" since he is always focused and won't let the females fool him. He also got the nickname "One shot Wonder" because he doesn't mess around and he gets the girls pregnant on their first time. His only downside is that his toe nails and teeth need trimming more than once a year...

"CC" was the face that launched our business in Aug of 2004 when she was just 4 months old. She is the sweetest of any female alpaca we have owned. You can walk up to her in the open pen and she will stand still while you halter her, lift her feet or put on a face mask. Now in 2016 she has given us 9 daughters (out of 4 different studs) and is the "Matriarch" of the herd. She is a devoted mother to each cria and they in turn grow up to be excellent mother's as well. She has grey in her genes and it has shown up in her daughter Twilight and her most recent daughter Carolina. In both cases the sire is Kazan a white male out of white parents. CC has very fine fiber and I have made yarn with it by combining several years with fiber from her daughters too. Look at the photos of her daughters. I have many more if you want to see them at different ages. She is now spitting off after breeding easily to our stud Benjamin. So we expect her 10th daughter in the spring of 2017. CC has a very special place in my heart. She is part of our goddaughter's College Education Fund and her discounted price is firm.

Superb Rose Grey Champion Male

Gandalf's Aragorn

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 30033566DOB: 8/24/200519 yrs
Absolutely remarkable rose grey male with wonderful genetics! Super dense, fine, crimpy and all his offspring are following in his footsteps! Aragorn moved from the East Coast to the West Coast in 2015 and has 7 new cria ( 3 boys and 4 girls) in 2016. He is now settling females for 2017 with ease! His cria are strong, healthy and demonstrate straight legs, good bites, and dense, crimpy fiber. His rose grey male cria, Acer, born 5/24/16 is the densest of all of them and shows excellent promise to have a show career ahead of him! We are glad that this one is a boy!! On the east coast in his show career, Aragorn received: 2 Color Championships, A Reserve Color Champion & 7 First Place Ribbons! 1st Place at AOBA and Reserve Color Champion as the youngest in his class at the Virginia Classic in 2006. The show season in 2007 placed him as 1st and Color Champion in fleece at the CABO show, 1st and Color Champion at the Virginia Classic and 1st at MAPACA. He is a remarkable male! If you have an interest... let's discuss a partial ownership.

Description

Twilight is one of our top producing grey females. The unusual point about her is that she is from a white sire and her dam is medium brown. The only grey genes in her pedigree that we can find is a great-great grand dam. Her first cria is a medium silver grey male, Silver Devon out of our grey herdsire Silver Dust Devil "Dusty". We ended up selling him before he was registered. Her next one is a stunning solid true black male, Monarch out of a grey sire (Outlaw.) Her third cria is a rose grey male, Acer out of a rose grey sire (Aragorn.). We liked the results so much that we re-bred her to Aragorn for a 2017 cria. Twilight has extremely fine fleece for a grey and took first place in the VAOBA Spin-Off grey class out of 5 entries as a yearling. We have made some luscious yarn from her last several years of shearing. Ask for samples. Twilight is part of our Goddaughter's College Education fund and her price is firm. She is not part of the grey breeding program discounted package. Because she has been spitting off for several weeks, we believe she is holding her pregnancy. However, her price of $6,000 has been recently discounted to $5,400 because we can not guarantee her pregnancy.
