Peruvian Wyldfyre is destined to become one of the country's outstanding dark colored suri herdsires. Our goal has always been to breed suris of dark color with fleece characteristics rivaling those of white and Wyldfye is there with a micron of just 18 at 22 months, with amazing luster and lock. He is the 2009 AOBA Nationals Res Champion (800 suris), the GWAS Champion (largest alpaca show in 2009) and placed 1st at the 2009 Futurity. As a juvenile, Wyldfyre was the brown male National Alpaca Sweepstakes Champion under the 3 judge system, 2nd in a class of 11 at the level 5 GWAS 2008 show and 2nd at AOBA Nationals, 2008. Judge comments include: "Best overall package with exception fleece character", "Will make an outstanding herdsire", "Finest fleece in the class" etc. Once again the Protocol, Macgyver cross hits the mark. Wyldfyre's dam is our Protocol daughter, Silk N Acclaim, who was the 2006 GWAS champion and his sire is the 7 time Herdsire of the Year, DDF Peruvian Macgyver. Wyldfyre has it all with deep maroon/dark brown fleece, with great density, precise locks and great luster on a well balanced frame with strong bone and he has a wonderful disposition. Wyldfyre has all the attributes to become a outstanding herdsire and we plan to use him extensively at Pines Edge. Wyldfyre has proven he can ‘make it happen’. Wyldfrye’s crias are showing improved density over the dam, brilliant luster and well defined locks. He is stamping on his beautiful head and deep color. Watch for the Wyldfyre kids at the coming shows and you will be impressed. Wyldfyre's Fiber Stats at 22 months: AFD 18.7, SD 4.6, CV 24.7, comfort factor 98%.

Dyani is a beautiful girl with fine fleece, excellent conformation, and a super-sweet disposition. Dyani's first cria, Amelia, was sired by Wyldfyre. Dyani has been bred once again to Wyldfyre for a Spring, 2015 cria.

Description

What can we say about this girl...except she sheared over 11 pounds of fleece this season! Not only that, but it's incredibly fine and lustrous. We can't wait to get the fiber stats back on this one. Coming from a rich color producing line from her sire, Pines Edge Peruvian Wyldfyre, and a dynamite dam line (whose EPD numbers are in the top 1% in fiber weight for 2017, we might add), Amelia is one of those 'cornerstone' females you could easily build your herd around. If you look at Amelia's own EPD numbers, she is close to the top in almost every trait. This should translate into offspring that are consistent at producing fine, uniform fleece...and a bunch of it. Show winner, easy to handle, awesome suri fleece...what more could you want? Oh, did we mention she is currently bred to MMALP Micah, a 4x banner winner and son of 10x banner winner, Kahuna's Casper? Confirmed ultrasound positive on 6/29! What a cria this is going to be!
