So stunning I just had to have him! There's much more to this male than just his spots, his fleece is very impressive with consistent character, fineness, and he's well built. His young adult bite is correct, and he's just plain stylin'! His fiber analysis is very impressive, done at 2 and 3 years of age, it's what you'd expect for a cria fleece! Burl has settled his first female and behavior testing tells us that he got the job done. We would love a partnership for this stunning male, but if you're looking for full ownership we would like to retain a few breedings. Auction is for full ownership.

Your key to healthy production!

We love to cross Peruvian/Accoyo bloodlines with Bolivians, the results are consistently amazing! MaRS Lemuria is the result of one such breeding and it shows. The first thing you notice about Lemuria is her presence, she certainly has that "look at me" quality about her. Lemuria has a solid build and could most certainly be categorized as an easy keeper. Her fleece production is impressive, one of the densest on the farm. The character of her fleece holds it's consistency across the blanket area, 5 to 6 crimps per inch. She seems to have settled in the 24 to 25 AFD range in adulthood, I would bet that if she wasn't such an "easy keeper" it may be a few points lower. Her first cria was a beige male in July 2012 during a thunderstorm. The birth was extremely fast with no complications. Lemuria has proven herself to be a great mother and will be a terrific production female for years to come. Here's a video of the 2012 cria at 3 hours old. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clr7MSo89rs&feature=youtu.be Lemuria did it again in January 2014 when she delivered another strong, healthy cria delivered in ease! This time it's a bright white female with solid structure and substantial density and character to her fleece. We had hoped to see some spots given the fact that her sire is an appy, but we'll take her! This year's shearer commented that her cria, Claritas, has the brightest, whitest fleece he has seen while shearing, quite the compliment coming from someone who's seen many! We plan to retain Claritas for our foundation herd. Lemuria's dam, Mars Cassini, is one of our best production females. Cassini has thrown award winning cria year after year. Cassini brings the well known Bolivian line of Black Thunder to Lemuria. Her sire, Bold Ruler, was a son of Accoyo Plantel and an Alianza dam. Plantel had been standing stud at Magical Farms for years and I had always dreamed of having a piece of his genetics. Bold Ruler was a, dare I say it, Bold male, with significant size and commanding presence. His yearly fleece weight is impressive at 12 to 13 pounds. Lemuria is sold with all standard reproductive guarantees and a breeding to any of the Alpacas from MaRS herdsires.

Description

Got spots? Well, Claritas from MaRS could have them in there somewhere! Born to one of our best fawn production dams and an appaloosa sire, we certainly weren't thinking she'd be bright white. We only got two progeny by LF Del A Burl before he was exported to Germany and Claritas is one of them. Heavy boned, solid build, and a nice dense white fleece with defined character. She's in great physical shape and she exceeded our expectation to be a fabulous mother like her dam, and her grand-dam. Basically, Claritas is a great production female with the chance of throwing the appaloosa pattern when bred to the right male. We don't have any appaloosa males that are unrelated to Claritas, we'd love to see her go to a breeder that does! Claritas was bred to our light fawn male, Maestro, in hopes of bringing out those hidden spots. Instead, we got a gorgeous fleeced white for the first time around, but certainly robust and healthy. Claritas is also one of those dams that will allow other crias to visit the milk bar, that can be a wonderful quality in a dam. Some savvy appaloosa breeder could hit the jackpot with this female! She hasn't been bred for several years while at another farm but she was bred to Highpoint for a June 2024 cria. The result was a handsome, solidly built, white male with a large light fawn spot on his back, and a fawn tail.
