HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black

Black Cloud is a full Peruvian true black male and the son of PPPeruvian Inca. PPPeruvian Inca is known throughout the U.S. as El Negro. He was the first True Black Peruvian herdsire imported into this country and his progeny are prized. We spent many years searching for that extraordinary pure black Peruvian male. Black Cloud was just the male we were looking for to enrich our herd with darker colors. His fleece is dense with the most lustrous crimp we had ever seen in a black. In our estimation and years of experience breeding alpacas, Black Cloud comes close to being a perfect 10. He is friendly and easy to handle. During his visit to Falkland Farm in late 1999, Dr. Julio Sumar praised Black Cloud as having the finest fiber on our farm. With 105 offspring on the ground Black Cloud has made a significant contribution to the North American gene pool. Stamped onto all his progeny, the signature of Black Cloud is the beautiful head of his crias. Together with densely bundled, crimpy fleeces, Black Cloud's legacy is truly becoming legendary! Let Black Cloud make a contribution to your herd today. Contact 1-888-257-7792 for more information on Black Cloud, including Herdsire progeny statistics, and to schedule your breedings today! Let our breeding program give you the “Breeder’s Edge”. Photography by Jennifer Clark

Amaro Khan

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Rose Grey
AOA# 30968653DOB: 12/8/200816 yrs
Wooly head and stunning fleece in dark rose grey, full Peruvian – out of Aga Khan! See his full brother Kubla Khan and his sister’s Aga Khan Daughter, Khan’s Cocoabean….ALL are dark rose grey and look almost identical. This family line certainly throws consistency of color! Kubla’s sire “The Aga Khan” is an 11 time Championship winner and 5 time Get-of-Sire winner. He is descended from Shere Khan possibly the most famous herdsire in Peru, who sired the Vendagor/Capac line. Aga Khan has many award winning offspring who continue his legacy of success. Kubla is stunning and his rich color comes from his maternal side. His Dam’s sire is a TB and his grandsire is an award winning Dark Silver Grey. He is even more beautiful than his full brother! Reserve Color Chmapion at the 2010 National Show competing against silver greys. See our website or his Powerpoint for Full Show Record. 2010 - 2011 has been a great year at Fireweed!
